pr samurai marvista licensing / red undead nightmare / today

September 30, 2010

Espio got around to uploading the video.. of MarVista’s promo video shown at Brand Licensing Europe 2010. Looks like a great promo, featuring Power Rangers Samurai sentai footage and a never-before-seen group shot of the new Rangers. I hope we can get a better version out of MarVista eventually. 😉 lol @ Disney reps coming to the booth looking for licensing opportunities. :p …In possibly-related news, Nickelodeon has picked up what could be a series to air alongside Power Rangers Samurai in 2011 — the live-action comedy Supah Ninjas. >_>

The debut teaser trailer for Red Dead Redemption‘s next DLC, Undead Nightmare, has been unleashed. It looks sooo full of win. I wants it now. :p It includes new single player gameplay, unlike past DLCs that mainly updated the online multiplayer. Zombie animals and other “mythical creatures” await as well. 🙂

I awoke i n the morning and got online for a while, checking out 145 Days of Power Rangers. And eventually we watched some morning TV.. I guess.. Eventually, I took over and got into PlayStation Home (Scion tC event with rewards that not-as-blatantly promote the product.. nice.. added the hat to my default outfit too, for now anyway.. then my dolphy came in next-to-last.. after three races in a row in 2nd.. perhaps I jinxed it? 😦 ).

And later, I finally watched four more episodes of Human Target: Season 1 (yeah, might as well watch them all now.. some very good episodes here, Jackie Earl Haley continues to nearly steal the show, and he was my favorite part of Watchmen as well.. sooo taking a break once these are over tomorrow, getting behind on TV :/ ..oh, and I’m considering getting a game soon). We had some supper, then I got online to new-gather.

In primetime, we watched The Big Bang Theory (rofl), Shit My Dad Says (lol, I suppose.. would prefer this and Mike & Molly be canned already so I can get my Monday nights back to normal), The Office (lol, good episode), Outsourced (lol), Chuck (finally watched Monday’s episode.. Old Spice guy, ew.. Lou Ferrigno, better.. saw Bronson Pinchot in the credits too, but didn’t notice him.. guess it’s been a while since Balki :p ) and Bored To Death (haha, nice start to the season.. was a bit surprised by Kristen Johnston in a dominatrix outfit. nice :p ).

And that was it. See ya.

human target s2 delayed / life unexpected season 1 dvd / today

September 29, 2010

Due to FOX’s cancellation of Lone Star, some TV show shuffling has been going on at the network. And that means good and bad news for Human Target. FOX has decided to push back the second season premiere almost seven weeks, from Friday October 1st to Wednesday November 17th. It sucks that we’ll have to wait even longer. But on the other hand, maybe FOX finally sees the curse of their Friday night timeslots. Many favorites of mine have come and gone from that night due to low ratings (Dark Angel, John Doe, Dollhouse.. and Firefly aired there too). And now it’ll be back on its original night in November. I hope I get to see a lot more of this series. 🙂

Warner Bros will release Life Unexpected: The Complete First Season on DVD only on January 4th 2011. I really liked this show in the first season. And I probably would have gotten this if it had been released before the new season. But now that I’ve been a little underwhelmed by Season 2 so far, I’m probably going to hold off on a purchase, at least until it drops to $20 or under in a sale.. or makes its way to Blu-ray.. *shrug*

I stayed up 3AM and got the 145 Days of Power Rangers downloaded / watched. Then I awoke in the morning and watched it again. “Green With Evil Part V” is especially good. The MegaUpload folder is now up to date with all five parts. 🙂 ..I stayed online for most of the morning, though I did see a little morning TV. I also watched Mad (haha) and Vampire Diaries (fell asleep during, heh).. before eventually getting back online again.

Another Power Rangers thread was created on the PlayStation Home forum.. and was eventually closed with no explanation whatsoever. These PlayStation forum mods are really starting to piss me off. Grr.

It was until nearly 1PM that I noticed that it was Wednesday and my dad had stayed home from dialysis. Dumbass. Now he’ll definitely have to go on Friday.. After last-minute news about Human Target‘s season premiere being delayed from this Friday until November, I was suddenly unsure about watching the Blu-ray so soon. But I went ahead and watched the first four episodes of Human Target: Season 1 anyway (this is a great show.. of course it is, it’s based on a comic book :p ).

After that, I checked out PlayStation Home just to race my dolphy (this is Xeno’s third second place win in a row now.. damnit, other dolphys!).. then my dad got some pizza for supper. I said to go to Pizza Hut because theirs are better.. and he goes to Papa John’s again (after going with Pizza Hut, these pizzas only taste half-cooked now). They both have the same large 3-topping for $10 deal and I explained that to him, but my dad just can’t get that through his self-damaged head (every time he’s not gone to dialysis and ended up in the hospital, his brain appears to have gotten worse and worse).

I got online to news-gather. In primetime, we watched The Middle (lol), Better With You (lol, like the opening segments especially), Modern Family (still overrated show IMO.. but I liked this episode), Cougar Town (I continue to be disappointed that it’s gone from being something original.. to writing very similar to Scrubs :/ *yawn*), Community (oh, totally forgot about this one.. and I see why.. that and why Big Bang Theory trampled its ass in the ratings last week.. Betty White wasn’t bad though), 30 Rock (hahaha– always felt this was somewhat overrated as well) and Glee (my dad went to bed, finally finding time to watch this.. loved all the little moments from Brittany throughout the series, so I was glad she got more than just another brief moment in this episode– she’s hot :p).

See ya.

power rangers licensing news / star wars 3d / red dead zombies / media buy / today

September 28, 2010

Some minor new details have come out about the future of Power Rangers at Brand Licensing Europe 2010. Power Rangers Samurai will begin airing internationally in Fall 2011. Other details include that DVD boxed sets, “specials” & “direct-to-DVD movies” are coming, as well as a new theatrical film if the franchise’s reception is good. Oh, and it also sounds like Saban has acquired the Shinkenger / Kamen Rider Decade crossover footage as well, but it’s unclear if it will be used. Here’s a couple pictures from Espio as well. Love the slogan too: “Classic Icons, New Heroes.” 🙂

George Lucas’ endless cash-in of the Star Wars saga will no doubt continue after the Blu-ray Collection late next year.. but now it’s only been confirmed. :p The Star Wars movies will be released theatrically in THREE DEE, starting with Episode I: The Phantom Menace just months after the Blu-ray set in early 2012. One movie is planned to be released per year, then they will undoubtedly be released on Blu-ray 3D. Cha-ching! Hahaha.. I’ll probably only buy the first Blu-ray set, just like I only bought the first DVD set. :p

Finally, Rockstar Games is releasing DLC for Red Dead Redemption that I’ll actually consider buying. All previous DLC packs offered small improvements and enhancements to online multiplayer for too-high prices. But next comes Undead Nightmare, featuring new zombie-themed single player quests and more. Check out this first artwork. Cooool. 🙂

I awoke early in the morning and got online, eventually watching 145 Days of Power Rangers (“Green With Evil Part IV”!).. But then not long after my dad left for a hospital appointment, I.. fell asleep in the living room.. A few hours later, I was awoken by my dad returning from said appointment. After a little while, we got ready.. and soon headed out to media buy..

I have a few more I want.. but this one was all I could afford at this time.. I headed to Target and passed on the Limited Edition Metal Case version of Iron Man 2.. because they were too lazy to bring it out of the back room, or they hadn’t gotten them in yet, or they all sold out in just two hours. :/ $36.99 just to have a fancy metal case. No thanks.. now that the option isn’t there. >_> I moved on to Best Buy and picked it up as part of their “doorbuster” deal — just $21.99 for the first two hours on Tuesday. And in next week’s ad, it will be just $19.99. I wonder if two measly bucks is worth a price match. I’ll no doubt be there for another DVD next Tuesday anyway. :p

I got my usual icee before returning home.. We watched a bit of morning TV before I got online for a bit. And then I watched the final three episodes of Fringe: Season 2 on Blu-ray (the “Unearthed” episode held over from Season 1 and aired midway through Season 2 is on the final disc as a special feature :/ ..it is probably one of my favorite stand-alone episodes… I watched that, then the two-part finale.. awesome finale, but I already knew that :p). I checked out PlayStation Home (my dolphy came in second again, argh.. one win away from the gold crown) before watching.. Fringe (last Thursday’s episode.. it went in a direction I wasn’t expecting.. and I loved it! great start to this season 🙂 ).

We had some supper, then I got online to news-gather.. In primetime, we watched No Ordinary Family (it seemed somewhat better than the last time I watched this pilot.. and the short new ending scene tacked on was pretty interesting.. perhaps it’ll shed even more of the plastic / shallow Disney Channel Original Movie vibe in future episodes), Raising Hope (may drop this one.. just not interesting enough), Running Wilde (this one, on the other hand, improved from last week’s first episode.. very funny 🙂 ) and The Event (I was interested in the more action-packed scenes.. but then they started skipping around in time again and I started getting confused about what time they were in at one point or another.. then I got into cleaning instead O_o).

See ya.

today

September 27, 2010

I awoke early in the morning, finished the previous entry, then watched the day’s 145 Days of Power Rangers. “Green With Evil, Part III”. Awesome! And now I download and upload them to MegaUpload. And since I’ve made the MU folder, I’ve become very quality-controlling over the encodes. I made sure they were all 640×480, since PowerRangers.com changes it depending on your bandwidth. And now I download it twice every morning to make sure I have the best quality. Then I watch the first download all the way through. If something doesn’t look right, I check the second download. A few days ago, I downloaded an episode to about 150MB, then downloaded it again closer to 200MB. So now I’m also making sure the file sizes match up as well. :p

After some time online, I found whatever was left in the kitchen for breakfast and watched Childrens Hospital (lol) followed by four more episodes of Fringe: Season 2 (fell asleep during the middle two, ugh.. but I guess I’ve already seen everything so.. good episodes I did see though :p). My dad returned home and he watched most of the morning TV on the DVR while I got back online for a while.

But eventually, I got onto PlayStation Home and raced my dolphys (would’ve won if not for Jim777, damnit :p), then watched two more episodes of Fringe: Season 2 (great episodes, especially “White Tulip”). And after that, some more PlayStation Home (silver Heavy Rain trophy from EU.. should be in NA by now, damn).. and then two more episodes of Fringe: Season 2 (“Brown Betty”, definitely my least favorite of the season.. a storyline is moving along and they pause it out of nowhere to do this “fairy tale” type story, blah). And after that, I once again returned to PlayStation Home once my dad went to bed. :/

In primetime, we watched How I Met Your Mother (lol, good episode), Rules of Engagement (eh), Two & A Half Men (lol), Mike & Molly (hm, a little bit better than last week) and Hawaii Five-O (well, actually I didn’t even give it a chance.. my dad had returned to bed by now and I got online for most of the time it was on *shrug*).

See ya.

Sunday 09.26.2010 —

September 26, 2010

I awoke in the morning and eventually checked out the newspaper’s ads for Tuesday. Okay, so I can get the Iron Man 2 Combo Blu-ray for $22, or pay $14 more just for a fancy (limited edition) metal case with lenticular cover..? Hmmm.. I watched Bleach (eh, okay), Kekkaishi (haha, good episode) and four more episodes of Fringe: Season 2 (good episodes today, even the last one even though I don’t usually like the “trapped in one place for most of the episode” ..type episodes).

It reached 1PM and was time for my dad’s NASCAR races. And so I headed to my room and got online for a while. I went to my bedroom DVR, but only had time for Gossip Girl (good episode) and another 90210 (from March, still considering if I should drop this one entirely and free up 4563456 space :p ). :/

We had some supper. Then in primetime, we watched Simpsons (lol, Glee cast, why not?), Cleveland Show (hahaha @ black Peter Griffin.. not wasting money on this DVD… yet), Desperate Housewives (alright episode *shrug* ..I was mainly interested in the switched-at-birth stuff which was few and far between this week :/ ) and Family Guy (their first foray into HD, congrats.. and about damn time :p ..please do more one-hour specials like this, no more carbon copy parodies of movies kthnx.. but there’s already talk of them doing Indiana Jones after their Star Wars trilogy is complete -_-).

After all that, I fell asleep.. and that was it. See ya.

pr samurai xandred / today

September 24, 2010

This article from WorldScreen provides one new tidbit about Power Rangers Samurai — a villain by the name of Xandred. Nice. 🙂

I awoke in the morning and finished the previous entry (mainly the bottom links that were long overdue), then soon watched the latest four episodes of 145 Days of Power Rangers (got behind, but it was time to get caught up.. “Green With Evil” begins tomorrow 🙂 ).. followed by MAD (lol @ “Grey’s In Anime”) and Hellcats (another good episode).

My dad returned home from dialysis and he watched some morning TV (lol @ the upcoming guest “Lil P-nut”.. the dominion people will know why I’m laughing anyway) while I got online for a bit. But eventually, I watched the first four episodes of Fringe: Season 2 on Blu-ray (very good episodes.. but I admit that I liked later episodes a lot more) before getting onto PlayStation Home for a bit (damn, Xeno's winning streak ruined.. so close too, 2nd place 🙂 ).

My dad went out and got a pizza for supper, then watched The Big C (my dad actually liked it.. good show). And then I got online to news-gather.. In primetime, we watched Smallville (wow, awesome season premiere.. cannot wait to see what happens this season.. does anyone else agree that the evil Lex clone looked somewhat like Lord Voldemort? Haha :p ), The Good Guys (lol, good episode), The Soup (lol) and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (good one, excepted for the echoy audio from my DVRed version.. guess I’ll download.. oh, and I fell asleep during so I must watch again later).

Well, see ya.

all star superman trailer / today

September 23, 2010

SuperHeroHype has the trailer for next year’s DC Universe Original Animated Movie, All Star Superman. Wow. Looking pretty good. 🙂 But still, I wish they’d do more movies for than just the more popular characters..

I awoke in the morning and got online for a little while. My dad soon left on a hospital appointment, so I soon got onto PlayStation Home (damn, too many dolphys.. couldn’t get into a race this early. :/).. then watched three episodes of Smallville: Season 9 (more great episodes).. before returning to PlayStation Home (got Xeno into a race. and he won for the second time in a row! yay 🙂 ).

My dad took forever to return home.. but he eventually did.. I watched the final three episodes of Smallville: Season 9 (haha’s @ just now noticing how many times an upcoming “apocalypse” was mentioned.. no doubt referring to the villain coming up this season 🙂 ..great finale too, looking forward to the 10th and final season.. 😦 ).. and then wasted some time in PlayStation Home.

But soon, I got online to news-gather.. In primetime, we watched Big Bang Theory (rofl, so missed this one), Shit My Dad Says (lol.. not that bad so far, actually), The Office (lol.. Evan Peters.. I miss The Days 😦 ), Outsourced (lol, also not bad) and Monday’s premiere of Chuck (wow, very nice premiere.. but no Big Mike, Jeff or Lester? at least the latter two are still in the opening credit.. guess they didn’t have time to intro where they are now).

And that was about it really.. except for the 363646457452 links to follow, of course. See ya.

power rangers samurai press / littlebigplanet 2 release delay / today

September 22, 2010

Early this morning, PowerRangers.com added the first details about the new season, Power Rangers Samurai. But Saban didn’t stop there, of course. Variety has an article on it, revealing that this season will actually span two years. “While themes changed annually in years past, the Samurai theme will extend for two years.” I was actually curious how 40 episodes would air in one year with how Nickelodeon schedules their shows, so this makes sense. Bandai provides a larger look at the promo art. Nice. And a Kidscreen article reveals the future of the official website and some upcoming video games. “The site will launch with games and eventually add more immersive content, including an online world and social media elements. Handheld and console games for Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo platforms are also in development.” Cool. 🙂

MediaMolecule has issued an announcement stating that LittleBigPlanet 2 just isn’t done yet and they’ve delayed the release date from November 2010 to January 2011. Aw man. 😦 I won two copies from the Subway contest and it’s been hard enough waiting for them.. since I so rarely win anything.. that and I was looking forward to boasting about playing it to my PSN friends list once I got it a bit before everyone else. :p

I awoke early in the morning and got online.. to finish the previous entry, download the new 145 Days of Power Rangers, and of course spend a few extra hours online over the Power Rangers Samurai news.. But eventually, I watched four episodes of Smallville: Season 9 (including “Absolute Justice”.. that’s a two-part episode.. not one, damn.. thought I’d only have to watch three due to it being counted as one on the disc art, silly me).

My dad returned home from dialysis and watched his Ellen as I got online for a little while. We watched House (ha, nice season premiere.. and Power Rangers Time Force‘s Erin Cahill prominently featured in a future episode, cooool 🙂 ), then I got the PS3 online and checked out PS3’s new Netflix Instant Streaming app. It’s currently only available to Canadian PSN accounts, so I made one, downloaded, and it works. Cooool. I watched a half episode from Rocko’s Modern Life: Season 1, then checked out PlayStation Home. My dolphy Xeno won his second race today! And this time, he got way out ahead right away and managed to stay ahead as some others caught up near the end. Awesome.

Next, I watched four more episodes of Smallville: Season 9 (and the last of these was “Escape”, which was the lowest point of the season IMO.. the Silver Banshee looked like something out of Cats for cripes sakes, lol).. then we eventually had some supper, before I got online to news-gather.

In primetime, we watched The Middle (lol), Better With You (lol, not that bad.. interesting seeing That 70s Show Mom.. as not That 70s Show Mom :p), Modern Family (overrated.. but yeah, funny) and (Still) Cougar Town (lol.. they considered changing the name due to the change in the show early on, then opted not to and added “(Still)” to the opening credit :p ..I actually liked it a little better before the show changed though.. the wine worship is a bit creepy). My dad went to bed and I watched The Event (I was expecting an exciting drama like 24 based on the promos.. then for most of the episode, I was hating on it.. as soon as something interesting began to happen, they’d jump to another time and place seemingly at random, ugh.. if you’re going to do the flash back thing, you better do it well.. but then that ending, wow.. wtf was that? lol definitely tuning in next week now) and Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (micro-episodes, a new trend on TV that I hate.. then I hear than this wasn’t even the first episode, no wonder I lost interest so quickly, ugh).

And that was it. See ya.

power rangers samurai / scott pilgrim dvd blu / media / today

September 21, 2010

PowerRangers.com has been updated with a huge announcementPower Rangers Samurai, the upcoming 18th season of Power Rangers coming to Nickelodeon in early 2011. I would rather have a title not so generic, but I do like the new character names a lot more than the previous ones. They are now Jayden the Red Ranger, Mike the Green Ranger, Kevin the Blue Ranger, Mia the Pink Ranger and Emily the Yellow Ranger. Also check out this description:

A new generation of Power Rangers must master the mystical and ancient Samurai Symbols of Power which give them control over the elements of Fire, Water, Sky, Forest, and Earth. Under the guidance of their all-knowing mentor and the aid of their devoted animal Zords, they battle the dark forces of the Netherworld and a mysterious Warrior bent on destruction.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World has been announced for DVD & Blu-ray release on November 9th. The Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy Combo Pack is packed with special features.. Ever since I saw the first promo for this, I was pretty sure it would be a blind buy for me on Blu. Then I downloaded and read the first volume.. and that was confirmed. Looking for forward to picking this one up. 🙂

I awoke in the morning and got online for a while. I had time to download today’s episode of 145 Days of Power Rangers.. but I didn’t watch it. :/ “Power Ranger Punks” is one of my favorites of Season 1 too.. Soon, we headed out to media buy…

But first, my dad had to go to the post office. I was actually a bit scared for my life when my dad passed the post office up and went down a small street at 20 miles over the speed limit. But it was sort of a rush too.. I eventually made it to Best Buy and picked up Human Target: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray. Both DVD & Blu versions appear to be in eco cases. UGH! However, I commend them on fitting 12 episodes and special features on just two Blu-ray discs.. I passed on How I Met Your Mother: Season 5 because I’m starting to run low on money this month. I’ll have to wait for it on sale in the coming months. Why couldn’t Fox just release it in October like all past seasons? Damnit. 😦

I got my icee, then soon headed to Target. I needed to find a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Reversioned DVD that I had recently heard about to complete my PR DVD collection. But there were no sign of Power Rangers anywhere. Guess I’ll find one of the toys its packed with elsewhere.. We headed to the grocery store, then returned home.

My dad watched some Ellen as I got online for a bit, then I watched four more episodes of Smallville: Season 9 (very good episodes, must double up on them tomorrow to finish by Friday’s season premiere). We had some supper, then I got online to news-gather.. In primetime, I watched Glee (hahaha, good start to the season — BANGS! — but where’s Emma? :/ ), Raising Hope (oh, Malcolm in the Middle.. but set in what appears to be the 1970s or 80s.. not bad so far), Running Wilde (liked this one a bit more though.. Arrested Development‘s Mitchell Hurwitz is behind it 🙂 ) and Life Unexpected (another fairly good episode.. but a lot of Season 1 episodes were better).

That was about it. I fell asleep soon after and didn’t wake up until nearly 6AM the next morning. Then I had to write this entire entry, including the huge news at the top. And it sure didn’t help that my internet kept disconnecting. Damnit, Road Runner. And damn my cable company for changing my internet service from Earthlink to Road Runner without even telling me. Grrrr.. See ya.

today

September 20, 2010

I awoke in the morning and got online for a while. My dad soon headed off to dialysis and I watched 145 Days of Power Rangers (“No Clowning Around”.. and not only that, but an unedited master tape with a slate and textless credit sequences after the episode.. please keep this up, PR.com, pleasepleaseplease! 🙂 ).. Eventually I watched the first two episodes of Smallville: Season 9 (good start.. don’t like so much how what was a pretty big plot early on was placed more in the background later.. I liked Checkmate though, wish they hadn’t gone so soon 🙂 ).

Only two? Because my dad came in during a break and demanded to see Ellen, so I obliged. I didn’t watch much of it though, then got online for a while.. After his damn news was over, I returned and watched two more episodes of Smallville: Season 9. I was planning on watching four more than planned.. but oh well. Due to my dad, it was a bit too late now.. I checked out PlayStation Home (sooo close.. my dolphy came in 2nd place, damn :/) before moving on to some LittleBigPlanet (I hear recent players of the game are more likely to get the LBP2 beta, so here I am :p) and ModNation Racers (annoying server disconnects are annoying.. I leveled up to 22 though.. with barely any attention paid to it at some points.. XP series, get points no matter what >:) ..yeah, I was sleepy).

I then returned to PlayStation Home to welcome my second dolphy at the stroke of 8PM. I’ve named him Venjix (teehee).. Yeah, I kept my PS3 online some past 8PM. My dad hasn’t gotten much sleep lately.. so he slept. And slept. He had put some food out to prepare for supper, but a few hours of sleep later and he was feeling horrible.. and put the food away. No supper tonight. My dad has barely eaten anything lately. And if he’s not hungry, I starve as well. We really need to go to the grocery store. 😦

In primetime, I watched How I Met Your Mother (lol), Rules of Engagement (haha… -_-), Two & A Half Men (rofl, good episode), Mike & Molly (hawhaw, it’s okay to make fat jokes if they’re coming out of fat people’s mouths… eh.. bring back Big Bang plz kthnx) and Hawaii Five-O (I only perked up for Grace Park’s two scantily clad scenes.. the rest was alright, I guess).

Once my dad awoke, he kept moaning and groaning about feeling so bad. And he made sure to do it more loudly only when I was in the room. What am I supposed to do? It appears he doesn’t stay active and that causes these pains. I told him this.. and he completely ignored me. More moaning and groaning followed. *rolls eyes*

See ya.
