fly oceanic air / new years eve

December 31, 2007

Oceanic Airlines (ABC) has issued a press release announcing that they will begin flights to nine markets beginning today, December 31st. 😉 ..The fictional airline from the TV series Lost canceled all operations soon after Oceanic Flight 815 was lost over the Pacific Ocean in September 2004. Can’t believe it’s been so long. For additional information, check out their new website at

I awoke over and over again all night, feeling crappy. In between, I watched some of the Futurama marathon. I awoke at about 5:30AM and finally finished up my previous LJ entry. And I saw Nick GaS’s lame switch over to The N. *show ends* *Nick GaS channel IDs* *flicker* *Instant Star begins* :p I hope my cable channel finds out what the heck is happening and updates the on-screen schedule soon. Before, it was the Nick GaS schedule as usual. But now it’s “off air” 24/7. Ugh.

I stayed online all morning with nothing to watch. But then I watched an episode of Kenan & Kel when it was on The N (haven’t seen this show in so long.. that this episode didn’t seem all that familiar.. wow). The on-screen schedule showed up too. Ooh, Caitlin’s Way starts on Wednesday (1PM ET). I’d like to see that show again too. But the premiere scheduled seems to be the 2-part edited version instead of the original 3-parter. Ugh.. I had some lunch, then finally left my room for more than five minutes.

Eventually, I took over the TV and watched a couple episodes of Futurama (of the three episodes I selected from the marathon) and three more episodes of Lost: Season 3 (awesome.. three to go already). All that ended a little after 5PM, then I got online to news-gather. We had some kind of supper, then I finished up online by 8PM. There was nothing new in primetime TV yet again, so we watched The Bourne Identity. Awesome movie. As I said before, I am rewatching the first two before the third film.

After that ended though, I got back online for a while.. and ended up not paying much attention to the countdown thing. Though I did see that extended Lost promo in the last commercial break before Midnight (awesome) and that extended commercial for Cloverfield later on (sweet.. gotsta see that movie). But other than that, I mostly stayed in front of this computer. :/ See ya.

Sunday 12.30.2007 — feeling like crap

December 30, 2007

I was up a bit late last night.. and couldn’t sleep that well. I tried hot chocolate, but I think that only made it worse. My dad woke up and he watched his damn ,MadTV reruns.. But I soon took over and watched a couple episodes of Futurama (DVRed through the night) and three more episodes of Lost: Season 3 (awesome). My dad mostly slept for these..

Once they ended, I found some movie called Who’s Harry Crumb? on TV. He’s a Fletch rip-off, that’s who he is. Though it was nice seeing a younger Shawnee Smith.. After that, Addams Family Values started.. and I chose to watch that for the 56834th time. Why I don’t have this on DVD yet, I have no idea. And I just now noticed that Mercedes McNab was in it (well, this is my first post-Buffy viewing of the film)..

When the movie was over, I returned to my room and got online for a bit. My dad had gone to the store and gotten some medicine for me.. but it doesn’t seem to be working. 😦 ..I went to the bedroom DVR and watched Naruto (last Saturday’s episodes, 12/22.. awesome, not all *filler* like lately) and Journeyman (the season and/or series finale.. pleeease don’t cancel, this was an awesome finale 🙂 *hopes for DVD too*). I fell asleep in the living room during Naruto.. for like two hours or so. :p ..Once they were over, I got back online..

See ya.

Saturday 12.29.2007 — my shortest entry ever

December 29, 2007

I awoke in the morning.. sorta. I really kept waking up and falling asleep pretty much all night. I’ve got a cold, so.. 😦 We watched the usual MadTV reruns in the morning. But then my dad took off and I soon watched three more episodes of Lost: Season 3 (great episodes.. haha @ “Exposé” just interrupting the forwarding plot :p)> My dad returned during them, then he fell asleep like he always does. And once they were over, I fell asleep for a little while.. Once I woke up, I returned to my room and got online for a bit..

We eventually had supper.. but I pretty much stayed online for the rest of the day. And night. Even though my bedroom DVR was full. *boooorrreeeed* And due to my cold, I began to feel weak late into the night. So I went to bed early.. See ya..

greek delay / today

December 28, 2007 reports that Buena Vista has delayed its DVD release of Greek: Chapter One back a few weeks, from March 4th to March 18th. And that Amazon has an incorrect retail price and are currently taking pre-orders for only $16.99. :p

I awoke in the morning, found the usual reruns on TV.. and finally chose to watch the 3-part, 90-minute series premiere of Transformers Animated (*expectations lowered* Hmm, wasn’t that bad.. *sees classic animated footage @ start* coooool.. *it ends, sees new designs for the first time* oh. 😐 .. *”50 Years Later” appears on screen* WTF?!??! ..of course it takes place in Earth’s future.. otherwise it’s not “cool” enough for the dumbed-down children of today :/). Not long after that ended, my dad returned home from dialysis. We had lunch and he watched some news..

Soon, I took over again and watched four more episodes of Lost: Season 3 (nice.. though I felt overloady near the end.. I only watched four because I had soo much time to kill :p). I returned to my room to news-gather.. and was pretty much finished by 5PM. Then I stayed online for various other things up until 8PM. We then watched Singing Bee (eh), some stand-up on Comedy Central (lol) and some Dateline NBC: To Catch A Predator (neat). But I was also busy writing more Meta Theta Pi. In fact, I stayed up and wrote until nearly 1AM just to get the big battle over with. One scene left, though I’m considering adding another..

See ya.

lost recap vid / today

December 27, 2007

Well, there’s one good thing about the writers strike.. ABC won’t be subjecting us to yet another Lost recap special before the new season premieres on January 31st. Instead, head over to and watch the 8-minute, 15-second “Lost In 8:15” recap video. 🙂

I had this dream where a friend of mine was a wanted criminal.. or was it me. Yeah, it was. Me and two friends found a hospital-looking room to crash in. Then I remember sneaking through a vent to another hospital-looking room. I took out a gun and randomly shot people through a window while this kid stood near me, completely ignoring it. It felt like a video game. Then I snuck back through the vent just in time. Once I got back to the other room, my two friends decided it was time to leave. They did, but I stayed behind to return the room to the way it was. That took a bit too long. A woman snuck in somehow and was talking to the person who was supposed to be in the room, who was also sneaking in. I ran off.. and the room suddenly became a school bus somehow. I ran to the front door of the bus. It slowed down momentarily when the guy screamed from the back, but I couldn’t jump out.. And that’s about all I remember.. Cool.

I woke up at 8AM (wow, so late) and then got online to finish up the previous LJ entry. Not long after that was over, I returned to the living room.. and soon fell asleep. Again. A few hours later, I woke up and got online a bit more. And then my dad got ready to go out. First, I went to Marsh for a few things, then to Kroger for a few more (wow, so easy to.. buy magazines outta there >_>). And on our way home, we stopped at Walgreens (where I wasted the rest of my money :p).. We returned home, and once everything was put away, I watched three more episodes of Lost: Season 3 (awesome.. being able to watch that cliffhanger episode right before the next :p).

Once all that ended, it was 5PM so I got online to news-gather. We had some supper (ugh, fast food again), then I finished up online by 8PM. Since there was nothing on TV whatsoever, I took over and watched my next Netflix selection — The Simpsons Movie. lol. I liked it.. somewhat more than the average episode. At the start, the image was all boxed in and I thought there was something wrong. And then the part where they showed up all MST3k-like during the credits. Haha. I’d.. almost consider a purchase.. if it ever got pretty cheap.. :p My dad doesn’t like present-day cartoons. Period. So he barely watched at all. Prejudiced ass.

After I watched the film and a lot of the special features (lol @ bunny trailers.. great menus too), I returned to my room for the night. See ya.

funi dbz update / today

December 26, 2007

I have an update on those tentative FUNimation release dates I posted a little while back. The first Dragon Ball Z Double Feature DVD is actually expected on February 19th, alongside Dragon Ball Z: Season Four. It will include the two specialsBardock: The Father Of Goku & The History Of Trunks — “digitally remastered” with revised English dialogue. I wonder if they’ll cut them to widescreen too. Its DVD cover is nothing to write home about, but that’s probably because its actually steelbook packaging. Cooool. I think I’m pretty likely to upgrade from my cheap used copies (that were poorly kept by their previous owners). :p ..Meanwhile, the next Double Feature DVD & Blu-ray, which includes the first two Dragon Ball Z movies (and also in a steelbook I hope), will be released alongside Dragon Ball Z: Season Five on May 27th. 🙂

I awoke early in the morning and got online for a while, then watched some morning TV and had some breakfast. Eventually, we took off to the theater. But the ass at the ticket stand wouldn’t accept my free Enchanted tickets to see a superior film. Someone else had accepted the exact same thing with no problem last week. Gawdamnit. We left there and I went to Target for some Pepsi & Code Red..

We soon returned home and I decided to watch the first four episodes of Lost: Season 3 (wow.. maybe I should cut it down to three.. I was a bit into overload once they were done). I finished up all that a bit before 4:30. I replaced my ankle bandage (hmm, seems to be healing a bit), then got online to news-gather. We had.. some supper, then I finished up online by 8PM..

Since barely anything was on TV again tonight, we only watched Outrageous Moments (seemed old..), the second half of a Jim Gaffigan stand-up special (lol).. and the first ever episode of South Park (so glad I have that Vol 1 DVD.. this is still one of my favorite episodes). Once all that was over, I pretty much returned to my room for the night. See ya,

dvd ads dec 30-jan 5 / christmas day

December 25, 2007

Merry Christmas! Now get out those gift cards… and click the corresponding retailer for their media ad for the week of December 30th to January 5th: Best Buy, Target, Circuit City DVDs & Video Games. The lowest price for Shoot ‘Em Up is $17.99 at Best Buy or Circuit City. But the only new release I’m getting this week is Resident Evil: Extinction, which is going for only $14.99 at Circuit City. Best Buy will offer it for $16.99, but offer a free tote bag with purchase. *price-match* :p

Best Buy has by far the best ad this week though. Recent releases like Heartbreak Kid, Hot Rod, Hostel Part II, Grindhouse Presents: Planet Terror and Stardust will go on sale for only $14.99. Stardust was “on sale” for $20 just two weeks ago (its release week), so I waited. Definitely getting it now. Epic Movie is also $14.99, another title I had held off on until it got cheap. In Blu-ray territory, its recent releases are also going on sale — Pirates of The Caribbean: At World’s End, 300, Superbad Unrated, Spider-Man 3, High School Musical 2 — all $19.99. Wow. I hope some of the titles I want are still there, because I must wait until Thursday. 😦

I awoke very early in the morning and watched some TV. We had a very small breakfast, then I kinda fell back to sleep for a bit. I got tired of the parade and stuff (though those PotC look-alikes were very good), then got online for a while. I read some more scifi chat logs (memories).. and read some more.. and read some more.. My dad’s sister and her husband came by with a Christmas feast. And we talked. More like they talked.. and I sat.. and laughed a little.. They also gave us some gifts even though we had nothing for them. It wasn’t anything special though. Mostly edible..

They collected a little of their food, left the rest behind, then returned home close to 4PM. Once everything was cleaned up, I got back online and news-gathered. Of course there was nothing there. It’s Christmas. I finished up online close to 7PM, then began writing more Meta Theta Pi.. for almost 3 hours. I didn’t really watch the special holiday-themed Deal Or No Deal, though my dad did. I progressed the story quite well. So well that I’m considering a third subplot for the next episode, rather than just two subplots. I’m more proud of this one than any episode so far, so if no one reviews this one in any way (positive or negative) like the previous episodes, I will be quite disappointed. 😦 Only two scenes left, with the HUGE final battle coming up next. *sweats nervously* :p

We watched some Blue Collar Comedy Tour, then my dad and I returned to our rooms for the night.. See ya.

pr animated update / christmas eve

December 24, 2007

Poweranimals has provided an update from his source concerning Power Rangers Animated. According to his source, Disney may keep the live-action series going if they can re-work the budget to keep it affordable. Also, Disney’s contract with Toei (the sentai creators) runs out after Jungle Fury, hence the consideration of going animated. A new contract has been written up, but Disney has been hesitant to sign it. :/ Poweranimals also claims Disney wasn’t too happy with what was presented for an animated series..

I awoke in the morning and got online for a while.. because the crappy chair in front of my desk is more comfortable than that gawdamn couch. My dad made some breakfast and we watched a little morning TV. Blah. A bit later, My dad took off and I watched Tim & Eric’s Awesome Show, Great Job! (lol– er i mean, ew @ candy tails *snickers*) and Meet The Press (Ron Paul was on.. and they made sure to put pressure on him because mainstream media hates him.. but he did pretty well nonetheless). My dad returned and eventually we had some lunch.

I couldn’t find anything to watch on TV (and I changed my mind about watching a movie.. again), so I returned to my room and got online. So bored. I eventually watched an episode of Journeyman (great episode.. I hope Fox releases this on DVD even though I’ve heard it’s already canceled 😦 ), then returned online to news-gather. I finished quite early. It is Christmas Eve after all.. I fit in some more writing of Meta Theta Pi. This episode is definitely going to be the longest one yet. That may be because I condensed what was a two-parter into one episode. :p

At 8PM, we just watched the sitcom reruns of How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Two & A Half Men & Rules of Engagement. But I didn’t pay much attention a lot of the time. Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. For tomorrow we get visitors.. for the first time in months.. I returned to my room for the night.

See ya.

Sunday 12.23.2007 — new couch, worse than old couch / media

December 23, 2007

I awoke in the morning and looked through the newspaper’s ads.. for whenever.. Once I finished that up, I watched Futurama (lol), Death Note (awesome) and Blood Plus (eh okay). My dad eventually returned from dialysis and we had some late breakfast. I asked if I could go to Best Buy today instead of Wednesday because its ad actually started today instead of Wednesday like I had thought. Also, pretty much all the new releases for Wednesday are now today instead. Heh..

After my dad turned me down, I went to my room and got online. And stayed online. A friend of mine sent me some old chat logs from the good old days of and I read some of them for a few hours. All of a sudden, my dad’s friend got some guys to get rid of our busted couch and replace it with one that had been left in an apartment. I wonder why? Once they had thrown out ours and put the other one in, we notice it’s busted too. And in even worse a state than ours. What a surprise. Ass. >_>

Once my dad’s football game was over, I came out of my room.. and asked to go to Best Buy again. I finally got him to take me. We headed down there and the parking lot was quite busy, as was the store itself. My dad was actually surprised and let me out before finding a parking space. I noticed they had gone through quite a few American Pie: Beta House up front. $20.. fuck that. I moved on and purchased Dead Like Me: Season 2 for $17.49. The store was packed, but the checkout wasn’t. When I got back outside, my dad was still looking for a space. Ha. I got back in the car and we returned home..

I got back for a bit, reading logs and writing.. blogs. My dad made some supper, then I eventually returned to the living room. I tried watching The Bourne Ultimatum for the second time. But after the first ten minutes, I thought it would be better to wait so I could watch all three together instead. And the new couch was uncomfortable. And my dad kept falling asleep.. We watched Duel (finale.. at last) and Santa Clause 2 after that (my first time seeing it.. not bad). The “new” couch was uncomfortable all night. Thanks so much, father. I doubt I’ll be able to sleep in it tonight. Or any time soon. But at least it “looks good”.. for the very small amount of people who actually enter our home.. -_-

See ya.

Saturday 12.22.2007 — disney dvd requestage / family friction

December 22, 2007

[Current Music Download|Ana Johnsson – We Are @ SendSpace]

The Disney Video website has been updated a bit. There is now the option to request out-of-print releases on DVD. Those include Fox’s VHS releases of Power Rangers. Cool. I requested that Power Rangers: Holiday Special would see a DVD port. Even some sort of Power Rangers Power Playback compilation would be nice (each VHS only had two episodes each) since Disney seems so against full season DVD releases of the far superior product they didn’t produce..

I awoke to the alarm, then we eventually had some breakfast. Once I could no longer take my dad’s MadTV reruns, I watched The Soup (ew’s @ splitting the clipdown in half.. and airing it two weeks apart) and Shin Chan (lol). I also looked through the On Demand channels for a while. When my dad left somewhere, I got online for bit.. but got bored quickly. I went back to the TV.. and got bored quickly.

My dad finally returned home and I put in a DVD to watch. As it was loading up, he ran off outside to “check the mail”.. and completely disappeared. After waiting like 20 minutes for him to return, I gave up on watching the damn movie and returned to my room angrily. This wouldn’t be the first time he screwed me over, and I doubt it’d be the last. He said he called off moving.. and then he said we may move again next month. And now he’s called it off again. Not to mention he sleeps a lot more than usual. The night he fell must’ve really fucked up his brain or something..

So I returned to my room and got online again. That got boring quickly (of course). My dad came back inside 356647456 years later and I looked through my mail. Then me and my dad got all grouchy with each other over his ruining the afternoon and I returned to my room once again. After some time online, I went to the bedroom DVR and watched CSI NY (oh, the new episode was replaced by an episode from earlier this season that I had missed, sweet) and Gossip Girl (aww, Christmas episode.. I just about give up on Christmas this year though, just can’t get into the mood for it anymore 😦 ).

Once those were over, I didn’t feel like watching anything else. That and with the lack of new stuff this week, I may need some of these DVR leftovers to avoid complete boredom.. We had some supper.. and me and my dad fought over that too. I felt bad about it afterward though.. Later, I went to the living room.. and fell asleep for a few hours. Once I awoke, I returned to my room and just got online for the rest of the night..

See ya.
