Saturday 07.31.2010 — “It’s time for molecular transmutation!”

July 31, 2010

I awoke in the morning and got online for a bit. And then I soon watched Warehouse 13 (wow, good episode this week.. even though I guessed the artifact correctly somewhat early on :p), Haven (I was ready to stop watching this show.. but then this one was just good enough to keep me watching a little longer).. and finally two “new” episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Reversioned (“Life’s A Masquerade” & “Gung Ho!”.. not much was messed with again this week, so yay.. at least on-screen effects-wise that I’d notice right away anyway.. and yay 4 Super Putty continuity! Rita collects the super putty in the first episode today, then makes the Super Puttys with said putty in the second.. these two originally aired out of order back in 1993, so yeah :p).

After that was over, I got online for a while.. again. And then I got sucked into this whole twitter drama over Rangerboard going offline only to find out it wasn’t for the reason a joking tweet claimed it to be. Haha.. And then my dad called, claiming he could come and go from rehab whenever he wanted.. and was going to wait until Tuesday morning to try and leave. I kept telling him that he needed to stay in there until they said he could leave.. but he just wouldn’t listen. *sigh* ..After that, I just had to watch some comedy so I wouldn’t feel so horribly depressed. So I finally watched the iCarly: iFight Shelby Marx DVD (all six episodes.. thanks for sending these to me! πŸ™‚ ) and by the end was feeling better for the most part.

After some time online, I then watched At The Movies (just a couple segments.. really wish I could use this free movie ticket 😦 ), The Troop (hey, wasn’t this Felix robot in a previous episode.. seems familiar.. and yet he’s introduced in this episode.. hmm.. good episode though, haha) and Big Time Rush (lol, definitely my favorite episode so far.. soo much laughs, soo much happened.. it really should’ve been a two-part, one-hour “movie” episode, because they were sure in a.. big time rush to film that music video.. hahaha :p ..but seriously, at the halfway point I was all “this is only half over? but so much has happened” heh.. “We could just put everyone else in the background as extras or something.” “Yeah, that is acting, right?” All background extras in the scene: “Yes!” lol :p).

And I guess that was pretty much it again. C U.

another today.. damnit

July 30, 2010

I had a difficult time getting back to sleep.. after the cat woke me up with his meowing at 4AM.. But I eventually got back to sleep.. I awoke in the morning, got online for a bit, then watched some morning TV. I then spent some hours in Red Dead Redemption (two more trophies, yay.. one of them was not the trophy where you have to pretty much kill a whole herd of buffalo.. after I took out a few of them, they just kind of took off and disappeared.. I think it might be time to kill me some bears.. next time.. *gulp* ..yes, another trophy asks you to kill and skin 18 bears.. oh boy :p).. before wasting more hours in PlayStation Home (the silver cleats are finally mine.. now how do I get the gold pair? *looks* ..no misses? crap).

My dad called in the afternoon from rehab. He’s sounding a lot more normal now, but is again talking about getting out of there (actually trying to walk home) before he’s supposed to in order to pay some bills so they don’t go over due. I think I talked him out of it. Most of the money to pay said bills don’t even arrive until Tuesday after all… But what if Tuesday comes and they still haven’t let him come home? *sigh*

And that was pretty much my whole day. Yup. Home froze up (again) shortly before 6PM and I decided to call it a day.. I got online to news-gather, and also ordered a pizza for supper (I really wish I knew of another place that delivers.. getting a bit tired of pizza.. and I never thought I’d say that, ever). In primetime, I watched iCarly (yay, season premiere.. very good episode, lol.. promo for Fred The Movie looked interesting too, even though I haven’t ever really cared for the character.. I’ve only seen him on iCarly and that was enough for me.. but this movie, I’ll check it out :p) and Futurama (lol, sci-fi-heavy episode, so immediately one of my two favorites so far this season.. the other was that iPod one :p ).. got online for a bit.. then watched The Soup (lol) and The Whitest Kids U Know (lol).

And.. that was about it. See ya.

today

July 29, 2010

The odor smells like rust.. I guess. It was only situated around the area where the furnace used to be, before it was taken out by the maintenance guys a few years ago. About an hour later, it had filled a good part of the kitchen. And it was a lot worse behind the door. I called the maintenance guy, but he didn’t answer. And of course he wouldn’t. It was after midnight by now, plus is was raining and storming outside. At about 12:30, there was a brief lull in the rain and I made it outside to take out the trash and check the mail. The outer hallway was also filled with that same rusty odor. What the heck was going on?

What was decision upon considering all this information? ..I went to sleep. I woke up close to 3AM and the rusty smell was now a taste in my throat.. but I couldn’t particularly smell it anymore.. I think I recall the people upstairs having a problem with their water heater. They’d carry water upstairs all the time. No idea why. And I haven’t really noticed it lately.. but then again I don’t really notice much outside of my tiny bubble anymore.. I returned to sleep.

I awoke once again at around 4AM. The guy next door sounded quite angry with someone upstairs. He was screaming very loudly at them, about how they’d better go hide in their apartment and he kept threatening that the police were on the way. I fell back to sleep before I saw or heard anything else though. Who knows what was going on up there. Though knowing this neighborhood, it was possible they were making and/or doing drugs. *shrug* ..I awoke at about 8:30 in the morning and got online for a while, then watched some morning TV.

But not long after that, I got the PS3 online and checked out PlayStation Home.. for the entire morning. The new wings are awesome. You can add them to any clothes. I bought two pair, then spent the morning showing them off. Beware the Home Predahawk! ..Click here for the updated photobucket folder. It now features 1520 pictures that I’ve taken with the in-Home camera. Wow. :p

And then I spent the entire afternoon in Red Dead Redemption. I really thought I was only going to do like one thing and shut it off after playing so much yesterday.. but then I got drawn into the story missions and couldn’t stop.. until I finally unlocked the last part of the map. Yay. So much new area to explore, including great plain and wooded areas. I’m going to be so owned by those bears. In multiplayer, one just popped up out of nowhere and I was dead in seconds. Ack. :p

I finally had something for supper at about 7PM, then got online to news-gather. There was nothing on TV tonight, so I spent another hour online. I watched tonight’s Degrassi (forgot to mention how KC was suspended for six games, then in the very next episode yesterday he was already playing again, ha :p .. good episode today, not enough of the new chick I mentioned yesterday though :p).. then got back online.. for what became the rest of the night.

Well.. see ya.

today

July 28, 2010

Unfortunately, I awoke in the morning.. and then got online for a bit. I watched some morning TV, then followed that with Degrassi (ah, there’s that chick I was talking about, yay.. Alicia Josipovic πŸ™‚ .. good episode) and Make It Or Break It (great episode.. I’m starting to want to get this on DVD in fact, hmm). I then got the PS3 online and played the newly-released Flower demo (yeah, old game new demo.. and I was blown away, wow.. thatgamecompany made Fl0w –which I got for free a while back– and then they made Flower.. I sense a pattern :p ..I’ll wait and see if I can wait for a sale on Flower :p ).

And then I played some Red Dead Redemption (silver trophy, yay), followed by some time in PlayStation Home (pool table, dance floor, boombox, arcade game.. all at my Home beach house.. sweet πŸ˜‰ ..but I spent most of the time today in FevaArena).. then returned to Red Dead Redemption (two more silver trophies, yay yay :p ..and one was rather easy to get too, heh).

We– I.. eventually had some supper (hot pock-ets!), then got online to news-gather. In primetime, I watched Minute To Win It (well, half of it.. the sorority girls couldn’t even keep me interested :/ ), America’s Got Talent (..yeah), Degrassi (tonight’s episode, one hour late.. ooh @ that ending πŸ™‚ ) and The Hard Times of RJ Berger (lol, very funny show).

I heard this odd –possibly spurting– sound coming from the kitchen. I went to look but saw nothing. And then I smelled what may smell like gas. But after a few moments of being concerned, I ignored it and went on with my usual crap life. I returned to the kitchen later and the odor appeared to have spread through the kitchen more now. WTF? They removed the gas heater years ago…

v 2009 dvd blu date / wishing for the final today

July 27, 2010

Warner Bros has officially announced a November 2nd release date for V (2009): The Complete First Season on Blu-ray & DVD. Nice. I guess they got word from ABC on when to expect the second season to begin and have moved this release back a few more weeks (a Season 2 start in late November seems likely, based solely on this release date).. Warner has also announced Batman Beyond: The Complete Series for DVD release on November 23rd. Sweet. πŸ™‚

I awoke in the morning and got online for a bit, before eventually watching some morning TV. But I mainly stayed online for most of the morning.. The maintenance guy or whatever.. borrowed the car keys to move our car to the other side of the parking lot while it was being reblacktopped. And eventually, my aunt arrived with some more groceries for me. It included more stuff I liked than last time. I went through the first two bottles of water (Ice Mountain) rather quickly. And then she told me more about my dad going to rehab…

I watched Haven (episode 2, lost interest for part of it.. but it was okay I guess) and two episodes of Persons Unknown (caught up.. and wow, very good episodes). I then fell asleep for a few hours.. and then I awoke to a knock at the door. It was UPS delivering today’s release of Batman: Under The Red Hood on Blu-ray. I somewhat regretted shelling out for Amazon’s two-day shipping to get it on release date though.. I watched another episode of Haven (better than the previous one.. and caught up on this one too), then got online to news-gather.

In a rather stupid movie that I somewhat regret now, I bought the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pilot Episode Comic-Con Limited Edition DVD off of eBay.. for almost $30 ($22.50 + $6.36 shipping). Ack. I definitely have money to waste, I guess.. In primetime, I watched Unnatural History (another very good episode).

But by about this point, it all began to settle in.. not long after my aunt texted me nearly ten minutes before he went into rehab where there’ll be no phone to contact him.. My dad has been gone for a whole week, and will now be in rehab for at least another week. Possibly longer. Next week is his usual “paying of the bills” week.. that I may now have to do.. once all the monthly checks come in. I hadn’t eaten anything for supper.. and I wasn’t really all that hungry. But the first thing I thought of upon opening that fridge was about that whole thing that I had heard about someone dying by drinking a whole gallon of milk.. and how would that death occur. Would it hurt much? How long would it take?

I wiped the tears away and went to my room, not really caring to see America’s Got Talent since my dad liked it more than I did. I mainly just enjoyed watching it with him. We didn’t really do much together anymore, which was why I kept shows that he liked so we could watch them together later. My media buying partly became about spending time with him too, since I couldn’t and still can’t drive. But now, the thought of my life without him.. it hurts and pains.. and worries me. I can’t possibly make it here all alone, especially stuck in this crappy apartment without the option to go anywhere ever. My aunt is nice, but she’s lives far away.. so her help is limited. I feel so very isolated.

I eventually ate something in place of supper.. but it wasn’t all that much really. *sigh* Bye.

wolverine and the x-men series dvd blu / family guy its a trap dvd blu / today

July 26, 2010

Lionsgate has officially announced a October 12th release date for Wolverine & The X-Men: The Complete Series on both 3-disc DVD & 3-disc Blu-ray. I may have think about getting this one. All 26 episodes will be included, along with 29 audio commentaries (wow) and a couple making-of featurettes. Again, I shall say.. nice cover art. πŸ™‚

The final episode of the Family Guy: Star Wars spoof trilogy Family Guy: It’s A Trap! has been announced for a December 21st release date on DVD & Blu-ray (also available on that date will be three-packs on both formats including all three specials)., I’;; stick to DVD with this series. Hope it doesn’t completely suck. :p

I awoke pretty early in the morning to the load meowing of my cat at 4AM. Ugh. I got online to finish the previous entry, then soon watched Childrens Hospital (hahaha.. though some moments seemed to.. Adult Swim? ugh :p). Not long after that, I went back to sleep. And I pretty much stayed asleep all morning. No reason to wake up today, so why try? My dad is supposed to have his dialysis port surgery today and my aunt thinks he’s going to be outta there today. Yeah right. They’re probably trying to keep him in the hospital for as long as possible like last time.. because he has medicare or whatever. *sigh* I so miss my bottled water, and trying to ration said water and the remaining soda is a pain. -_- I refill the bottles with the gross tap water for the Kool-Aid Singles. No way I’m drinking that fluoridated crap by itself…

I got online for a while, then checked out PlayStation Home (better trick out my virtual homes if this’ll be virtually the only way I’ll be able to interact with other human begins soon.. yup, bought the pool tables.. awesome).. and then played some Red Dead Redemption a bunch of story missions, culminating in a rather cool somewhat-conclusion.. but I still haven’t unlocked the north area.. damnit).

I got online to news-gather.. and got a rather upsetting yet not completely unexpected message from my aunt. My dad is still not good enough to return home, even after the surgery today. He’ll now be in rehab for a week in order to try and make him stronger. My aunt will be coming down with more for for me tomorrow, I guess.. so that’s nice.. *sigh*

I felt rather depressed after this news, but I tried to continue the news-gathering nonetheless. I ordered more pizza for supper.. but it’ll probably be the last time for a while. Getting tired of it. Wish I could find someone else that home delivers.. In primetime, I watched The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ha), Degrassi (good episode.. but damn, when are we going to see the hot bully chick from the opening credits already? :p), Futurama (wow, some episode.. due to the revelations at the end.. the comedy was rather flat, like most of the time) and True Blood (wow, very good episode.. love/hate those cliffhangers :p).

Aaand that was it for another horrible day. One week down, at least another week to go. -_- See ya.

Sunday 07.25.2010 — comic-con news: power rangers buffy avatar / today

July 25, 2010

Quite a lot of information has come out of the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend… First, the BandaiAmerica twitter account has given us a better look at the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers “Day of the Dumpster” Limited Edition DVD (including the back), revealing that classic Power Rangers will begin airing seven days a week in October 2010.. I really wish I could get my hands on one of those DVDs. 😦

And there’s also this video from Comic-Con in which you get a all-too-brief glimpse at Power Rangers RPM‘s Adelaide Kane in a Wonder Girl costume (she’s at about the 3:20 mark btw).. *drools* Sooo want a better look at that!– Oh wait, yay! Click these links for some images from her Facebook account. :p

And in other news, the Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season Eight comic book series that begins where the TV series left off has become a motion comic series on iTunes and Amazon Video on Demand. The first episode is online for purchase right now, with one new episode to be released every week. And if your old-fashioned, all the episodes will be released onto DVD in January 4th. I really don’t know how they cut 40 comic issues down to just 19 motion comics though.. unless it isn’t the entire season, since it isn’t even completely released yet. :/

And even more… LastAirbenderFilm reveals that the recently announced animated series spin-off Avatar: The Legend of Korra will last for just twelve episodes.. and not to expect it to air until “LATE fall 2011”. Ack. :/

I awoke early in the morning and got online.. then fell asleep again, awoke.. asleep again.. then awoke. Or something like that.. I soon watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (great episode, as usual πŸ™‚ ..gonna miss it during the half-series break 😦 ) and Kekkaishi (good episode). I then spent some hours online, following KryptonSite’s tweets about Smallville Season 10 and the new info about Power Rangers on Nicktoons posted above. “Power Rangers” also began trending on twitter again (#2!) due to the ABC LA affiliate airing a Mighty Morphin episode from yesterday. Cool.

When I couldn’t stand in my uncomfortable desk chair any longer, I returned to the living room and played a few hours of Red Dead Redemption (completed two hideouts.. silver trophy! perhaps I’ll do two more for another trophy next time.. I also played a story mission or two), then watched Final Destination on Blu-ray (finally getting to all these unwatched Blu-rays I guess.. don’t know why I didn’t think of them before.. Ali Larter *drools* ..still my favorite of the series, no doubt).. followed by two episodes of Warehouse 13 (haha, very good episodes.. though I fell asleep during one and the cat’s very load meowing at 4AM woke me up to watch the rest :/ ).

Well.. see ya.. -_-

Saturday 07.24.20– wait, the 24th already? crap!

July 24, 2010

I awoke in the morning and got online for a bit, then found an episode of Sons of Tucson to watch (from weeks ago.. not that bad).. then got back online for most of the morning. I spent that time organizing some recently-downloaded comics.. Finally at noon, I watched two “new” episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Reversioned (download links on my twitter, like always.. good episodes.. since there wasn’t all that much added to them this week.. so yay :p ..and I couldn’t believe that their airing joined with the recent appearance at Comic-Con would cause “Power Rangers” to trend on twitter at about the time of airing, in New York & Chicago.. pretty cool :p).

After that, I got online again for some more hours, then watched some G4 Comic-Con 2010 Live.. while mainly getting online and completely ignoring it. G4 announced during the coverage that they will be airing the “Marvel Anime” series in 2011 — including Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men & Blade. That’s pretty cool. πŸ™‚

My aunt called the hospital once again and found out that my dad will be staying there at least until Monday because he needs to put in a new dialysis port. The one he has has really messed his arm up and made the area swollen, so he wasn’t looking forward to getting a replacement on his other arm. But now it’s happening on Monday. My aunt called him, then she said he wanted to talk to me. I didn’t want to call him at first because I didn’t want him to try and escape the hospital again and come home too early like last time. 😦 ..He wanted to take care of me or something. The place is falling apart here pretty bad and it sucks, but I definitely didn’t tell him that.

I had some supper (I guess that’s what that was) then watched The Troop (haha, though a few things just seemed.. added for comedic purposes and felt odd to me :p ).. before getting onto Red Dead Redemption for a few hours (side missions.. then some story missions.. etc.. then it was nearing 1AM, so I shut it off). I checked the mail, then.. that was pretty much it?

*sigh* See ya.

today

July 23, 2010

I awoke and took a drink of something I had started the night before.. then I felt an odd tingling around my mouth. I wiped and saw these little dots on my hand. By then, I was awake. I took a look at the cup and saw a lot of tiny, possibly red-colored, ants crawling all over my cup. Ewwww. I went directly to the sink and rinse that shit out. But it sure didn’t make me stop thinking about the ones I drank. Yuck. 😦

I fed the cat again in an another attempt to shut him up and got online for a while, then watched some morning TV.. And then I fell asleep and had another dream. I first dreamt that I was watching TV in the living room and my dad suddenly came out of the bedroom and joined me. A little later, we had bought this huge house or something to live in (in a previous dream, I think) and my dad was heading out somewhere. And so I shut of the video game I was playing and headed out to meet him in the car. But this other person met me and put me on a table.. or something. My dream self then remembered that this house was connected to filming some very old sci-fi series back in the day.. as my eye was taken out and replaced by a cyber eye.. or whatever. Needless to say, that got me to finally wake up. Damn.

Right after that, I got online for a little while again.. and then I wasted all afternoon playing more Red Dead Redemption (more side challenges and stuff, followed by a quest). But I shut the game off early at 5PM and got back online to news-gather.. I bought another pizza for supper, then.. finished up online early.. In primetime, I watched two episodes of 100 Questions (haha.. though the laughworthy moments were few and far between), two episodes of Degrassi TNG (good episode, liked them.. took this long for me to notice the “Next Generation” part of the series logo is no longer there, haha.. I’m liking the new continuity, but it seems this was made to be aired at one two-parter per week since all of Season 10 is two-parters.. but its possible TeenNick tried to get ahead of the people downloading it by airing it so quickly after the Canada airing, sorta like Doctor Who & Torchwood), The Soup (lol) and The Whitest Kids U Know (lol).

And then that was about it.. See ya.

Power Rangers at SDCC 2010 / today

July 22, 2010

If you have been following my twitter, you may have noticed that Power Rangers made a huge splash at San Diego Comic-Con today, with the help of Saban and Nickelodeon. If not, you’ve been missing out on some very nice pictures from the Nickelodeon booth. And if that wasn’t enough, here’s a news report video (press that pause button a few times if it doesn’t load)… If any of you can get me a copy of that sweet Limited Edition “Day of the Dumpster” DVD, I’d be sooo grateful! I wants it sooo bad! πŸ™‚

I awoke in the morning and got online to finish the previous entry.. and a few other things, And then I watched the final six episodes of Roswell: Season 3 (the silly Changes plot concludes, then the final plot.. and the final episode ever.. you bet I got emotional all over again, the final episode always does that.. and I’m a little angry, remembering how UPN kept cutting the episode order for the season.. I think it was originally 22, then 20, then 19, then 18.. the only thing not concluded would have to be the black alien thing Michael stole from that spaceship.. probably would’ve found out what it was if UPN hadn’t cut the episodes, grrr).

I got online for a bit, then watched The Boondocks (lol) before playing some more Red Dead Redemption (no missions.. just some side things to be done.. and before I knew it, my time was up 😦 ). I got online to news-gather, than made myself a crappy supper.. In primetime, I watched two episodes of Degrassi TNG (waited until I could fit in both episodes of the opening 10th season two-parter.. wow, good episodes) followed by the first episode of Covert Affairs (wow, very good start to this series.. really liking it).

And that was about it again for today. I try to keep my posts as short and to the point as possible because this damn desk chair is so uncomfortable. 😦 ..Well, see ya..
