Sunday 09.30.2007 — september’s ending already? wow..

September 30, 2007

My dad awoke at about 5AM.. and eventually woke me up too. Perfect. He was watching some Showtime. We watched some Pink Panther (the Steve Martin one), then I looked through the newspaper’s ads for Wednesday (I’m broke until then 😦 ). After that, I took over the TV and watched Comedians of Comedy: Live at the Troubadour from the DVR. It aired at like 1AM last night. And the only part I really found funny was Patton Oswalt. My dad found none of it funny. Then I fell asleep during it. Then my dad eventually did as well. So long that it started over the beginning.

I gave up on it and deleted once I woke up. Then I watched three more episodes of DBZ Season 3 (soawesome.. it reminds me of being awe-struck by this battle when I first watched it weekdays at 5PM on CN back in the day) and Beakman’s World. I had to reboot the DVR again, then I got online for a while. My dad got his TV back quite a bit before his NASCAR crap was due to start..

After some time online, I went to my bedroom DVR and watched Naruto (cool), BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo (lol), Ugly Betty (yay @ it being back), Gossip Girl (I’m starting to lose what little interest I had in this one..), CSI Las Vegas (whoa great episode.. had me wondering the outcome from beginning to end) and CSI NY (also pretty good). We had some supper in there somewhere too. I played some music, then returned to the living room..

I watched Simpsons (lol) while my dad was outside most of the time. Then I wasted the following half-hour getting the living room DVR to work. Ugh. Fortunately, it decided to stop the screwage just before 9PM. My dad and I then watched Desperate Housewives (pretty good start to the season.. Lyndsy Fonseca’s hot.. too bad she left another role I was looking forward to for this one though.. at least we’re finally seeing her more than we do on How I Met Your Mother — she’s the future daughter), Family Guy (lol very funny) and American Dad (lol also pretty funny). I returned to my room, then my dad soon headed to bed.

See ya.

Saturday 09.29.2007 — I got Knocked Up at Target, HAHA! */immature* ..I wish..

September 29, 2007

I made sure Avatar was DVRed correctly, then I watched Californication and Weeds on Showtime. One of the reviews in the commercial says “the true home of comedy night done right”.. but I only laughed like three times during the whole hour, and that was during the first one. :/ ..Once they ended, I transferred Bionic Woman to VHS and got online for a bit. And before I knew it, it was.. now.. Crap. *runs off*

I awoke the next morning and soon took over the TV. My dad wasn’t really watching anything anyway. I watched Thursday’s The Office (rofl), three more episodes of DBZ Season 3 (awesome), the last two episodes of Family Guy Vol 5 and some special features (lol.. but done already 😦 ) and Best Week Ever (lol).

Once my dad returned from an errand, we watched Knocked Up: Unrated. Very funny movie. Loved it. *drools @ Katherine Heigl* Then I spent the a few more hours watching most of the special features. Man, they finally made a 2-disc that’s worth the $22.99. If the Superbad: Unrated 2-disc will be this packed with features on December 4th, I cannot wait. 🙂 ..My dad made some supper and, once I finished the special features, we tried watching The Longest Yard (2005) on the Showtime free preview. But I lost interest rather quickly and my dad fell asleep. So I finally returned to my room. Ah well. :p

I went to my room and got online for a while. Then I went to my bedroom DVR and watched Torchwood (episode 103.. eh..), Doctor Who (“The Sound of Drums” ..omfgsoawesome) and Flash Gordon (coool @ the ending I wasn’t expecting). And that was about it. See ya.

no news yet again / today

September 28, 2007

I awoke in the morning and got online for a bit, then watched three episodes of DBZ Season 3 (coool). I got online again until my dad returned home from dialysis. Then we watched Ellen (I miss Passions.. we didn’t need another fucking hour of the Today show!).. then I got online again. But I eventually returned as my dad went for a nap and watched three more episodes of DBZ Season 3 (awesome.. definitely my favorite saga of the series) and.. five more episodes of Family Guy Vol 5 (rofl.. my dad woke up and laughed his ass off at Dick Cheney as a Walmart greeter: “Go fuck yourself. Go fuck yourself. Go fuck yourself.”).

But I forgot all about the shows I needed to watch from last night, then only found time to watch My Name Is Earl (blah for the most part.. I thought he was gong to get out of prison by the end of the episode.. Prison Break‘s Season 3 rehash is already making me tired of prison-based shows 😦 ). Once that ended, it was already after 5PM. I got online to news-gather, then my dad awoke long enough to have supper. Then I finished up online rather close to 8PM..

We watched Ghost Whisperer (*yawn* ..even Jay Mohr’s character seemed deflated 😦 ), Moonlight (wow, this show really makes me want to.. watch my remaining season of Buffy on DVD.. instead :p ..oh here, vampires are only minorly annoyed by sunlight and the usual garlic, crucifix or holy water doesn’t work on them.. and the main vampire solves crimes! :p) and The Soup (lol, especially @ the shot at Cavemen). My dad soon went off to bed and I checked out the Showtime free preview. Of course the volume on those channels are so low that if I changed to a regular channel, I would probably blow some speakers. I had to put the volume up like 40 points more than usual or whatever just to hear it. Fucking cable company. *shakes fist @ no softcore action airing this weekend either* 😦

My robotic self soon returned to my room for the night. Blah. See ya.

tmnt ff premiere / knocked up target booklet / today

September 27, 2007

Damn, no news again today… except this: 4KidsTV will finally air another TV premiere episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fast Forward on October 6th. Episode 140: “DNA Is Thicker Than Water” will at 10AM ET that morning. Stretching them out so sparingly is a really stupid idea, so lets hope they drop it. Two episodes aired the first two weeks of September, then two reruns filled the slots the other two weeks. Ugh. :/

Oh. And this: Target has set up a phone number for those who purchased the Knocked Up 2-disc and didn’t get their exclusive booklet (i.e.: me). Just call to request your booklet. Yay. 🙂

I awoke and we watched some of usual morning TV. Blah. We had some breakfast and watched Ellen… Then I took over and we watched my next Netflix selection — Bug. I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. It seemed well done, but I didn’t like the whole “false paranoia” that’s at the heart of its story. They had to mention the usual “powerful group of people who control everything” as they got worse and worse. The part I enjoyed most was Ashley Judd’s nude scenes 🙂 *drools like a perv* ..So I may buy it someday. It was *ahem* well done after all. I’m just not going to pay the release week “sale” price of $20 (this week). Ew.

Once that finally ended, I watched three more episodes of Family Guy Vol 5 (rofl.. my dad is still surprised @ the language used, argh) and three more episodes of DBZ Season 3 (awesome.. the real battle has finally begun 😉 ). It was after 5PM when all that was complete. I got online to news-gather, then we had some supper. I then finished up online a little before 8PM..

In primetime, we watched Smallville (so awesome.. but not enough Supergirl :p), Grey’s Anatomy (a bit better than expected.. cool) and Big Shots (oh look, a male version of Desperate HousewivesDesperate Businessmen.. or something.. definitely not as good as Housewives though). My dad took off to bed right after they were over, so I took the opportunity to begin transferring a new series to VHS: Reaper. Heh. Then I returned to my room.. or something like that..

See ya.

no news again / today

September 26, 2007

I had another dream. In this one, a friend and I tried to break into a house. But I wasn’t so successful. I tried every door. And then they came home. So I had to play dead for a while in the backyard. My friend had already ran off. Huge family. There was like three or four kids. My friend played a cop somehow, while I played dead. And I had a hard time getting away because the family was walking all over the place. But I was eventually able to get the heck out of there. And I woke up.

I got online for a while, then watched a couple episodes of TMNT 1987 Season 4 (pretty good.. and I finally reached the last disc.. watching it makes me want to.. watch the TMNT 2003 Season 1 DVDs :p). My dad returned home from dialysis.. and got weak real quick. We watched half of Ellen, then he went to bed and I got online. Then he woke up and we watched the rest..

Once that was over, I watched the first three episodes of Family Guy Vol 5 (rofl.. yay @ uncensored audio tracks making the Hummer scene that much more hilarious), three more episodes of DBZ Season 3 (awesome) and the Journeyman pilot episode (from the NBC New Fall Preview DVD even though it aired Monday.. wow, quite a bit better than I was expecting). After all that, it was already 5PM. I got online to news-gather, then we had some supper.

I finished up online at 8PM, then we watched Back To You (lol), ‘Til Death (lol), Private Practice (great, now there’s two mediocre shows my dad likes more than I do so I must watch them every week.. at least Grey’s Anatomy will have a Power Rangers alum.. ‘s sister Chyler Leigh starting tomorrow.. yum) and Bionic Woman (*the main event* awesome, another show I will love but my dad won’t care for, like Heroes.. I really enjoyed this one.. thought minor discrepancies between the end of this pilot and next week’s episode, filmed months apart, have me scratching my head.. “send whoever for me and I will bury them” –> “I will join you” After all that was over, I returned to my room for the night.

My knee is never going to be the same again. The hospital that the ambulance took us to took an x-ray, then lied to get us out of there the same day. They saw all my other health problems and just didn’t want to mess with me. Now it clicks every once in while. A particularly long and frightening one occurred tonight. I feel that the knee I fell on is flatter than the one that wasn’t injured too. There must be nothing wrong with that… See ya.

no news / media / today

September 25, 2007

I awoke pretty early in the morning and got online to finish the previous entry. And I fell asleep last night before seeing Jim Gaffigan on Conan. *sad* Hors later, I returned to the living room and watched some morning TV. Then we got ready and I took off to media buy…

First, I went to Target and.. got Knocked Up. Haha. The 2-Disc Collector’s Edition that’s supposed to have a Target exclusive behind-the-scenes booklet, according to their ad. But Target screwed it all up again. It’s not a behind-the-scenes booklet. At all. It’s an alternate slipcover with a book-like opening in front that clasps shut (y’know, Disney likes to use them a lot). And the pictures and quotes inside are from the movie itself, not behind-the-scenes in any way. I was hoping for a window slipcover, like the regular version most likely has.. with the booklet inside. Damnit. 😡 Target also completely refused to tell you what their My Name Is Earl: Season 2 exclusive was in their ad. It’s a lenticular cover that changes from the regular cast to their claymation versions and there’s a poster inside as well..

My dad visited somewhere, then we got some things at the grocery store again. I got my icee and we returned home. We watched Ellen, then I got online to inventory the new release. The Target exclusive isn’t even the worst thing about the Knocked Up DVD releases. The two Unrated versions (1-disc & 2-disc) each have an exclusive extended scene not on the other one. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. 😡

My dad took off again while I was online, so I watched last night’s premiere of Heroes (pretty good, I liked it.. others probably didn’t as much because their expectations were too high.. I didn’t know what the heck was going to happen, so yeah :p). My dad returned home and we watched Prison Break (still not liking the new setting.. and some of the things that came with it.. liked some more Sucre plot though), the final DVD episode of Smallville: Season 6 (omgsoawesomethaticannolongerwaituntilthursday) and three more episodes of DBZ Season 3 (ooh, getting good now). I don’t know what I’ll watch with DBZ tomorrow. I can’t just fill the afternoon with it. I can only stand so many episodes in a row of shows like this even though I like them (Power Rangers is another example)..

I returned to my room at about 5:30 and got online to news-gather. Then I went to a forum and discovered that all Knocked Up 2-discs had that cover that I discribed above. So the booklet’s just not in it. Reports of a lack of it all over the place too. I’m considering replacing it on Thursday. Maybe they’ll have the correct version in by then? I soon finished up online..

At 8PM, we watched Bones (ooh @ the new season-long Illuminati storyline.. and how pretty much everyone looks like they had makeovers or something :p), House (lol, great opening to the season.. though kinda sad because I expected his old team to come back.. but nope, whole new team coming up 😦 ) and Reaper (rofl, so awesome.. but this pilot was directed by Kevin Smith.. will it still be awesome next week? *hopes so* CW hopes so too.. they’re airing the first episode again after the Smallville premiere Thursday night.. yum @ Missy Peregrym).

After all that, I returned to my room for the night. See ya.

proo 1726-1730 descriptions / emma lahana stargate / today

September 24, 2007

Kyl416 has posted brief descriptions for the five October episodes of Power Rangers Operation Overdrive:

1726 – Red Ranger Unplugged:
Mack considers leaving the team since he’s not a full-blooded human, and thereby let the other Rangers battle Crazar alone.

1727 – Home And Away:
Mig and Benglo access the power of the Octavian Chalice; Tyzonn is knocked unconscious and awakes on his home planet.

1728 – Home And Away II:
Tyzonn is told by his girlfriend that he was never a Power Ranger.

1729 – Way Back When:
The Rangers plug Mack into a computer to determine the status of each relic and jewel, and to figure out who has them.

1730 – Two Fallen Foes:
Will seeks revenge after Kamdor embarrasses him; Norg stumbles upon a powerful jewel that was hidden from the Rangers.

Looking forward to these, especially the two-parter.. 🙂

Power Rangers Dino Thunder‘s Yellow Ranger Emma Lahana will guest star on an upcoming episode of Stargate Atlantis. The episode, titled “Outcast”, premieres on January 25th 2008. She’s also said to appear on NBC’s new Bionic Woman remake. 🙂

I awoke, got online for a bit, and got some breakfast. Then I watched Zoey 101 (heh), Unfabulous (heh.. I’m starting to feel wrong now :p) and Robot Chicken (lol). My got online for a bit again, then my dad returned home from dialysis. We watched Ellen (eh, gotta have stable daytime show now that Passions is gone).. After he finished with the news, I watched three more episodes of Smallville: Season 6 (awesome.. but my dad fell asleep as expected and I left the finale for tomorrow) and the first three episodes of Dragonball Z: Season 3 (ooh, picking up mid-storyline on something I watched two months ago, whee :p).

Not long after all that was done, I got online to news-gather. My dad woke up and we had some supper too. I finished up online rather close to 8PM. Then we watched How I Met Your Mother (lol, I’ve missed this so), Big Bang Theory (lol, I actually liked it.. except when my dad couldn’t tell the difference between a “nerd” and a homosexual *rolls eyes*), Two & A Half Men (lol), Rules of Engagement (haha.. wait, why is this show back?!) and CSI Miami (eh it was okay.. lol @ my dad’s comments and noises whenever the blond woman appeared on screen :p).

lol @ noticing that the ABC Family movie Big Liar On Campus was originally titled Full Of It and it’s heading to DVD with that title this Tuesday (tomorrow). I bet they edited it quite a bit too (since it’s PG-13). They changed “hook your nuts up to a car battery” to “hook your GUTS up to a car battery”.. which doesn’t make as much sense.. especially when a note is briefly shown with the correct version. Then they show a guy actually preparing to do it.. How are people going to know that they’re the same movie? Sheesh. :/

Well… see ya.

Sunday 09.23.2007 — Robot Chicken already did it.

September 23, 2007

I awoke and watched some ancient MadTV repeats my dad was watching. After looking through the newspaper’s ads for Tuesday, I took over the TV and watched Futurama (lol.. also seems slightly familiar), Bleach (yay @ it being another fun episode instead of the usual serious-and-sometimes-boring episode) and Blood Plus (wow, great episode). We had some breakfast, then we watched three more episodes of Smallville: Season 6 (awesome, getting very good now.. final four to go tomorrow). Once those ended, it was time for my dad’s sports crap. So I eventually returned to my room and got back online..

After some time online, I went to my bedroom DVR and watched Big Liar On Campus (that ABC Family movie aired last Sunday.. eh, I’ve seen worse :p), Noein (*headache-including scifi anime* :p), Tokko (eh it’s alright) and the first two episodes of Torchwood (verrry interesting.. not as great as Who, but still pretty good). We had some supper during that, then I got online for a bit.. again..

My dad could find absolutely nothing to watch on TV, so he handed it over to me. I found some old Jeff Foxworthy stand-up special to idle on until 8.. Then I watched the season premiere of The Simpsons (lol @ the opening credits referencing the events of the movie.. that I haven’t seen yet *shakes fist @ spoilers*). Then went back to Comedy Central for the Larry The Cable Guy stand-up thing.. But at 9, I watched Family Guy (the 1-hour Star Wars special thing.. I guess my anticipation was too high.. cause I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would.. my favorite part was definitely the Robot Chicken argument at the end though, how they did a Star Wars special three months ago lol).

We watched the last half-hour of the Jeff Dunham stand-up special, followed by a Mind of Mencia repeat. I transferred some small things to VHS before returning to my room for the night. See ya.

Saturday 09.22.2007 — death proof = teh awesome

September 22, 2007

I fell asleep too early damnit. So I woke up in the same way.. and got online to finish the previous entry. And now I’m bored. :/

I let my dad watch his MadTV reruns for a little while, then he made breakfast. I took over and watched three more episodes of Smallville: Season 6 (great episodes.. tried to get my dad to watch the one he missed due to a sports pre-emption, but he fell asleep). He went off on some errands.. twice. I watched Beakman’s World (haha, the pilot episode.. so.. unpolished.. er, rough or whatever), Avatar: The Last Airbender (last night’s season premiere.. awesome.. lol @ the chibi short afterward.. please air the rest of them with future episodes so I don’t have to wait until I can afford the Season 2 DVD set to see them :p), South of Nowhere (yay @ ending) and Best Week Ever (lol.. except when they applauded the Emmy anti-war censoring and made fun of the tasered college guy who was only asking Kerry a question about why he conceded to Bush so easily in the last election.. assholes).

My dad returned home for the second time.. and we eventually watched Grindhouse Presents: Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof – Extended Edition. I wasn’t sure I was going to like this one. But I did like it quite a bit. Yay. I’m already looking forward to owning Planet Terror on Oct 16th. My dad actually thought it was an old movie.. then fell asleep for most of it. :/

I got online for a bit, then wrote some more Meta Theta Pi (*first mention of the Metagene* yay). After some more time online, I then went to my bedroom DVR and watched Doctor Who (“Utopia”.. wow, wasn’t expecting another two-parter already.. too bad I didn’t completely understand what the heck was going on near the end there), Flash Gordon (cool), Naruto (whee, new theme song) and BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo (lol). Then I got back online..

And that’s it. I want to see Death Proof again. Yes, already. See ya.

death note on as / today

September 21, 2007

The anticipated anime series Death Note has been picked up by Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Its first episode will air on the evening of Saturday, October 20th at Midnight ET. Cooool. 🙂

I awoke in the morning and watched some boring morning TV. But then I finished another scene of the new Meta Theta Pi. Seth is really going to go bad by the end of this episode, thanks to Violet (that new character he meets.. who I had thought about killing off, but I may not now). I’m already looking forward to the intense final scene. And there’s also the underground chamber subplot too. Every hero must have a secret lair, after all. 😉 ..Once I finished that up, I refined the plot outline a little, then got stuck online for a while..

My dad returned home from dialysis and we watched some Ellen. My dad then opted to force the meal with the least amount of work on me and.. my long-bottled-up anger burst out again, though for only for a few fleeting moments. I returned to my room for a while as my dad watched his useless news bullshit. But I eventually took over and watched four more episodes of Smallville: Season 6 (awesome episodes, especially “Hydro” & “Justice”.. and the “Labyrinth” deleted scene revealing quite a bit about Clark’s new alien friend 🙂 ).

I finished those and got online a whole hour early. But then mIRC problems came up and stopped me from news-gathering until after 5PM. It’s always something.. We had a lame supper, then I finished up online before 8PM. There wasn’t much on TV, so I watched Countdown until The Best Years season finale (wow, how the heck are they going to have another season with all the characters going off in all directions, many with a low likelihood of returning :p). After that, I waited another half hour until The Soup (lol). Then I began setting DVRings for the huge week ahead and returned to my room for the night.

See ya.
