tmnt s1p1 dvd / today

February 28, 2007

It looks like our worst fears have come to pass. That upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003): Season 1 DVD set will actually just be a two-disc 12-episode set titled Season 1, Part 1. Why 12? A three-parter starts with Episode 13, so they’ll probably be included in a future 2-disc 14-episode Season 1, Part 2 DVD. Meanwhile, Part 1 will arrive in stores on May 22nd.. I’m actually not that pissed about this. As long as the opening scenes from some multi-parters are included unlike the previous volume DVDs (and maybe some new special features alongside the old ones from the volumes *hope*), I’ll be fine with it. And at least there’s only three higher-priced DVD sets coming on May 22nd now.. :p

I awoke in the morning, had some breakfast (still tiring while using the walker/chair), and watched some morning TV. It was then I noticed that the living room DVR was screwed up. The DVR wasn’t working at all. They upgrading the damn software this morning and now it won’t work. Viewing recordings or actual recording. I had the PROO promos and behind-the-scenes special still waiting to be transferred to VHS. Gawdamnit. 😡 ..I went and played Ratchet: Deadlocked. I completed the game (haha’s @ the post-credits scene) then began the game again in Challenge Mode.. with all your skills, points & bolts intact. Neat 🙂

I shut it off a little while after my dad returned home from dialysis. I showed him the defective DVR and he called the cable company. They couldn’t fix it from there, so a technician is coming… on Sunday morning. We’ll be missing plenty of shows by then. Grrrrr. Like tonight’s Medium. And Lost if the VCR stops in the middle of it like it just loves to do. I think I’ll just switch the DVR with the bedroom one until Sunday (in time for its next recording that night). Then, I’ll only miss CSI NY tonight..

After I took some time online, we watched Passions (*rolls eyes @ the whole Luis thing* *haha’s @ Vincent possibly being the man/woman..?*). Then I switched the DVRs once that was over. Yup, walker/chair and all. Just because my dad doesn’t understand how to unplug and plug in the right things. Then we watched ‘Til Death (yeah, the one with Ray Romano’s cameo so my dad could see it), The War At Home (so dad could see it) and two installments of The Dresden Files (heh, not bad.. even though it’s been a month since watching the pilot episode :p). It’ll be nice to finally empty the bedroom DVR (four Galactica‘s, two more Dresden‘s, two Veronica‘s, three CSI NY‘s to go for the most part).

I hobbled back to my bedroom at 5PM and got online to news-gather. We had some supper, then I finished up online at about 7:30PM.. We watched some syndicated sitcom repeats (ah I miss Still Standing), then Knights of Prosperity (lol.. It’s getting better now that they’re switching celebrities about every week), According To Jim (rofl), In Case of Emergency (lol) and Lost (awesome episode.. cooool @ the episode’s title scene). My dad went to bed early because he doesn’t like Lost.. then I returned to my room for the night..

See ya.

dvd ads mar 4-10 / blood+ on as / today

February 27, 2007

Click the corresponding retailer for their ad for the week of March 4th to 10th: Best Buy, Circuit City & Target. Circuit City definitely has the best ad this week, with very low prices for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for PS2 (only $15 and a free $10 gift card with purchase? wow!), Borat, Angel Seasons 1-5 (I wanted to watch Buffy through first, but if these are the slim case versions..) and The Loop: Season One. Target has The Office: Season 1 for cheap, so I might finally pick that up too.. 🙂

Adult Swim’s schedule has been updated and Blood+ will premiere on the evening of March 10th at 12:30AM ET. Eureka 7 will now air after it..

My dad headed off to sleep and I watched the midnight re-airing of the Power Rangers Operation Overdrive season premiere. As expected, it was mostly just the same old crap in new packaging.. like what Bandai America seems to enjoy doing in the toy line lately. And the cable’s defects didn’t help. If I tried watching it live, it would just be a black screen. I had to rewind a bit to see it. And even then, the defects would stop the playing completely. Then I had to pause and push past them.. every few seconds at times. The DVR recording ended up much the same way. So I must wait until Friday to actually see these episodes now..

The cable got worse around 4AM, when we were both awake again. It would turn on and off, on and off. And I mean everything: both TVs and the computer’s internet connection. Grrr. It was eventually fixed and we fell asleep.. I awoke the next morning with new pain in my leg and had to take another of the few remaining pain pills to make it go away. *sigh* We watched some morning TV and had some breakfast, then I got online for a bit. We watched Passions (haha, I knew Vincent –played by PRWF‘s Philip Jeanmarie in case you forgot– was Chad’s lover :p ), then my dad went to return the DVD I accidentally purchased last week at Best Buy.

I watched Tim & Eric’s Awesome Show, Great Job! (I.. actually laughed a few times.. *hides face in shame*) and Saul of the Mole Men (the best part of the show would definitely be the theme song performed by South Park‘s Trey Parker.. me wants to download), then played Ratchet: Deadlocked for quite a while. I’ve made it to the final battle.. but I’m worried I’ll have to play through all that other stuff again next time just to get to it. :/ I finally shut it off at about 5:30 and got online to news-gather. Then I went to the bedroom DVR and watched the 2/13 episode of Veronica Mars (yup, a little behind on a lot of things.. great episode, especially the ending)..

We eventually had a rather basic supper, then I returned to the living room. We watched Dateline NBC: To Catch A Predator (eh..), as well as last night’s Prison Break (great episode) and Heroes (omgsoawesomemusthavedvdrightnow.. and my dad actually watched for once too 🙂 ). Then I returned to my room for the night..

*opens Rense* *cracks knuckles* I have a lot of catching up to do… See ya.

tmnt ff s2 / tv pilots / today

February 26, 2007

Mirage CEO Gary Richardson has confirmed that production on a second season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fast Forward is underway. Peter Laird “wants to wrap it up and bring the boys home”. Pleeease continue the series after that in the original far superior 2k3 style. Pleeease.. *pouts*

TheFutonCritic reports on some upcoming pilots in production including a Bionic Woman remake and an alien workplace comedy called Area 52. They also now report a new scifi drama in the works called Them, which sounds like something that I would’ve written: “the drama pilot, about an alien agent who must locate a rogue operative on Earth and finds himself tempted by the planet’s offerings.” Neat. 🙂

I rejoined my dad to watch the Oscars after posting the previous entry.. then fell asleep almost immediately. I woke up a few times during the night before waking at 7AM. We had some leftover White Castles for breakfast (yuck), then watched some morning TV. My dad took off to rent a walker for me. No luck of course. I stayed behind and watched Beakman’s World (picture not as clear as last week.. strange that it would only happen once), MTV Juvies (yeah, based in Indy) and Ellen Degeneres (*pouts @ “best of” instead of “post-oscar”* *yay’s @ The Departed getting Best Picture while he’s on the topic*)..

I got online for a little while, then watched Passions (so lame, as usual). After that, we watched the next Netflix selection: The Sentinel. But due to my damn prescription, I slept through about half of it. Grrr. Then I had problems keeping the gawdamn wrap thing on my leg.. I got online again to news-gather the best I could, then went to the bedroom DVR to watch Ugly Betty (poor Alex..is.. 😦 ), Everybody Hates Chris (lol), Scrubs (lol) and 30 Rock (lol).

Then then returned to the living room to watch How I Met Your Mother (lol great episode), The Class (ooh @ endings), Two & A Half Men (lol), Rules of Engagement (yes, let’s act like this slim PS2 is the “latest gaming system” that cost $600 and continuously cry out victory upon killing hookers as if there’s a game with the only object is to do so) and CSI Miami (okay). I actually lost attention after the first hour or so and spent the rest of the evening napping or whining about the bandage wrap that my dad eventually convinced me to take off. Only four magical pain away pills left. I’ll be surprised to see where I am this time tomorrow. Hope I am able to get back to the computer, where my only friends reside..

Strange how things I say end up being not true. A while back, I said “brb” (be right back) in a chat room before losing my internet connection for a few days after rebooting. Then I said last Tuesday that I would be able to see 300 by getting a free ticket at Best Buy tomorrow. I don’t think I can go now. So I’ve already bought tomorrow’s two DVDs online again instead. I wish the world would quit torturing me. 😦 See ya.

Saturday 02.24.2007 & Sunday 02.25.2007 — The Accident

February 25, 2007

Saturday 2:07AM
Yup, only just now heading off to sleep. I transferred Lost, watched some Conan, and was online for a bit.. *runs off*

Sunday 7:06PM
On Saturday morning, I woke up and had some breakfast. I soon took over the TV and watched Instant Star (great episode.. wanted to see that boobie too though 😦 ) and Beyond the Break (great episode here too). I finally caught the VH1 Top 20 for once (nice, back to the old format and no more of the new one that was the reason I stopped watching) then watched Legion of Super Heroes (*suddenly notices quite a few similarities between this series / Teen Titans and TMNT 2k3 / TMNT Fast Forward* ..both were downgraded to kidified future series from their far superior predecessors.. 😦 ), Chaotic (blah) and Ned’s Declassified (ah one I missed). Next, I played some Ratchet: Deadlocked (awesome.. two “planets” to go), then watched The Departed (awesome movie.. enjoyed virtually every minute.. this better win Best Picture.. even though it’s the only nominee that I’ve seen).

It started to rain near the end of the movie, then it snowed. For some retarded reason, I thought I should go and check the mail again before it gets any worse out there. About halfway out to the middle of the apartment complex (where the damn mailboxes are located to help the mailman more than us), I slipped and fell on some ice. Once that happened, I couldn’t walk on my left leg anymore. A lady neighbor came and helped me to the mailbox, then she left me with no real way to get back. A man whose car I was propped up onto came out a bit later and drove me back to my area.

My dad greeted me at the door with much yelling, even though the pain in my leg was enough for me. He propped it up and placed an ice pack on it. And I stayed there all night. Every once in while, I would get a shake all over my body. My dad told me it was just my nerves. I sat back and tried to ignore the pain as much as possible while watching Cops & America’s Most Wanted with him. I tried to watch my usual anime afterward, but fell asleep rather early into them. I woke up a couple more times that night as well…

In the morning, my dad removed the leaking ice pack and I tried my best to watch BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo (lol), Naruto (cool), .Hack//Roots (also cool), Trinity Blood (ooh nearing a conclusion), Bleach (lol) and Eureka 7 (omg so awesome). We eventually had some breakfast and watched Knights of Prosperity (lol, very funny one this week), Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show (haha), Sarah Silverman Program (lol @ bomb subplot), Gunslinger Girl (good episode) and Basilisk (also good).

We finally went to the hospital at about 1PM. My dad seemed t o be more worried about how I look than my injury, since he commented about cleaning me up before going. Actually, an ambulance picked me up. My dad had to follow. They wheeled me in, took blood pressure twice, took temperature twice, x-rayed twice, then wheeled me out. In between, I had to uncomfortably lay on a hospital bed waiting. The best part was when the attractive nurse examined my gross body. -_- In the end, they only wrapped up my leg, gave me a prescription, and sent us on our way. Ugh. We got the prescription easily enough, then went to three places to rent a walker. No luck anywhere. We went home and had White Castle for supper. Ugh. I couldn’t eat that many before giving up (only 4 out of 10).

Ah, caught ya’ll up.. *hobbles off, whining in pain with every left step*

Sunday 9:58PM
I wanted to watch the Oscars, but the bedroom DVR got incredibly full. So I watched the two-part Doctor Who: Season 2 finale (wow @ the invasions, aww @ Rose’s departure.. eww @ her replacement.. if that was her.. when are we getting Torchwood on US TV dangit?). And I need 2 1/2 more hours on the DVR tomorrow night, so I must watch more tomorrow.. I’m using a plastic chair until my dad can rent a walker tomorrow. The vicodin knockoff takes most of the pain away, but doing just about anything is still rather uncomfortable. That’s why I keep quietly begging for an end to this torture called my life more than ever before.

I don’t want to be sitting in this uncomfortable chair any more than I have to for now. So I’m posting this entry a bit early and without the bottom links. Many of my readers refuse to believe some of the more “out there” truths anyway. -_- Just head over to Rense.com if you want.

And so my torture continues…

February 23, 2007

SirStack has uncovered who performs the crappy Power Rangers Operation Overdrive theme song. It’s by The Transenders featuring J70 Star. The latter does the rapping and the former consists of.. former members of Black Eyed Peas. >_<

A FUNimation representative has confirmed that a 26-episode Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003): Season One DVD set is being planned for a May 22nd release date. Awesome. 🙂 ..But RightStuf currently lists a 325-minute runtime, meaning only 14 episodes. Meanwhile, Video Universe is claiming that it’s 2 discs. So which is it: 14 or 26 episodes? I have a feeling these are just retailer errors though.. and I’ve wasted everybody’s time.. :p

Here’s a couple new DVD releases I’m pretty excited about… Kyle XY: The Complete First Season will be heading to DVD on May 22nd. All 10 episodes will be included, as well as an alternate version of the Pilot episode, an extended season finale, some commentary tracks, “and more!”. Expect the second season to premiere on ABC Family in July.. Scrubs: The Complete Fifth Season will also arrive on May 22nd. It will include all 24 episodes, extended version of the 100th episode, a Look Back featurette, and deleted scenes.. Nice. But why must four DVD boxed sets I must own all be released on the same day (these, TMNT 2k3 above & DBZ Season 2)? Damnit. -_-

Warner has hired two writers – Michelle & Kieran Mulroney — to write a live-action Justice League feature film. Cooool. I hope they can at least get Brandon Routh and/or Christian Bale to reprise their roles as Superman and/or Batman.. and y’know, make it not suck.. :p

In a very surprising move, ABC will give J.J. Abrams’ Six Degrees a second chance. New episodes of the drama series will begin on March 23rd and will air Friday nights at 9PM ET. 🙂 ..Meanwhile, Men In Trees will be leaving the network’s Thursday 10PM timeslot and be replaced by the new drama October Road..

I awoke at 5AM and finished / posted the previous entry. My dad took off for dialysis, then I stayed online a bit longer. I watched some morning TV and had some breakfast. Then I played some more Ratchet: Deadlocked. I’m really enjoying this game. It takes place about a month after the 3rd Ratchet & Clank game. It’s starting to get very challenging even in the lowest difficulty level. With every memory card loading, you can choose the difficulty level. It keeps track of which difficulty level you beat each challenge with, so you could beat it again later with a higher level if you want. I choose the lowest level because I’m interested in the story.. and would like to finish a game for once. :p I’m almost to the end already too. Just three more planets to go…

My dad returned from dialysis and really wanted to see the news, so I had to shut it off at about noon. :/ Eventually, Passions started (blah). I received the Collateral DVD in the mail from Columbia House. I joined as part of some “Free iPod” bullshit that I never even completed. What’s up with the lighter DVD case and altered cover art? Ew (I’ve never seen a DVD cover state that a full screen version wasn’t available).. Then we watched last night’s Grey’s Anatomy on DVR (very nice conclusion to the three-parter). After that, I watched The Prestige on DVD. My friend built it up so much on AIM, so I bought it. My final verdict? Eh, it was alright, pretty good I suppose. He might’ve built it up too much though. For parts, I was waiting for it to be over and kept checking the time left. Some “big reveals” surprised me, and I did enjoy the parts with Nikola Tesla and his inventions. *shrug* Maybe I should’ve netflix’d it instead, like I was originally going to do..

The film ended quite a bit after 5PM, then I got online to news-gather. We got some fast food for supper again ( :/ ), then I finished up online close to 8PM. We watched Ghost Whisperer (haha, zombie.. sorta), Close To Home (haha’s @ Reggie Miller’s cameo appearance), The Soup (lol) and Degrassi BTW (cool, a Pop-Up Video version of Degrassi.. I miss Pop-Up Video.. *falls asleep before it’s over*). I woke up a little later and began transferring >Lost to VHS while I returned to my room..

See ya.

fox summer / today

February 22, 2007

[Current Music Download|Moby & Public Enemy – Make Love, Fuck War (Clean) @ SendSpace]

FOX has issued a press release announcing the summer premieres for some craptacular reality series like So You Think You Can Dance, Hell’s Kitchen and On The Lot (a new movie-making competition from Mark Burnett & Steven Spielberg), as well as the second season of sitcom The Loop. I’m actually looking forward to the latter. I sorta missed it while it was gone. The first season is being released on DVD next month (it all fits on one disc, haha)..

I awoke in the morning and posted the previous entry. Yup, I once again fell asleep before I could complete it. Damnit.. We watched some morning TV, then watched my next Netflix selection: Walk The Line. Great film and great performances by the two leading actors. We both liked it.. even though I mostly got it for my dad. I almost regret passing up purchasing the DVD on release date. :p ..Next, we watched Passions (ooh, the supernatural storylines are coming back? ..how else could the mysterious & murderous man/woman be in two places at once?).

After that ended, we soon headed to the grocery store. I bought a bit too much again, so the amount left over at the end of the month will about the same again. My dad went to a few other places, then we headed home.. We watched last night’s Medium (awesome), then I got online to news-gather. Once I finished that, I went to the bedroom DVR and watched last Thursday’s Scrubs (lol great episode) & 30 Rock (lol).. My dad wasn’t feeling great, so he mostly slept while I watched My Name Is Earl (lol), The Office (rofl) and CSI Las Vegas (great episode). But not long after that, I fell asleep too And woke up at 5AM the next morning…

The asshole maintenance guy said he would be here today to fix the toilet. But of course, he wasn’t. He gave my dad some lie about needing someone else to get a part so he could take as long as he wanted. And until he fixes it, we must reach our hands into the tank every time to flush the damn thing. Grrr..

proo mercury cast / tmnt 87 s4 dvd details / today

February 21, 2007

Yet another actor from The Tribe who briefly appeared in Power Rangers is returning to play a larger role. Dwayne Cameron, who played Derek the bully in an episode of Dino Thunder and Sky’s friend Dru in an S.P.D. episode, has revealed on his official website that he will be playing the role of Mercury Ranger in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. 🙂

TVShowsOnDVD now has a list of special features for the March 13th DVD release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987): Season Four. Expect a couple villain featurettes and a pizza recipe alongside the 39 classic episodes spread across five discs. Overall, I haven’t really been enjoying this series on DVD as much as the 2003 series (definitely not counting Fast Forward). But I did enjoy the last few episodes on TMNT Vol 6 (mostly for the continuing plotline among them), so I’ll probably break and buy this anyway. :p I still haven’t watched the TMNT Fast Forward Vol 1 DVDs yet.. for obvious reasons..

I awoke in the morning a little after my dad had left for dialysis. I slept with my glasses on again, so I had to put them back together. 😦 I got online for a bit and went to MySpace for the first time in about four months. :p Then I watched some morning TV and last Sunday’s Beakman’s World (the picture looked clearer than usual.. strange). Once that ended, I played Ratchet: Deadlocked for a bit. I’m really raising up in DreadZone points. Lately the challenges have been insane though. So many enemies coming at you and shooting them, all the bolts just flying at you (the currency of the game). It was so intense, I thought it was going to freeze up there for a second..

My dad returned from dialysis and I soon turned off the game. We saw some news, and then Passions (haha’s @ Fox in trouble.. that he’ll probably get out of by the end of the week.. wtf @ that woman/man-thing). The next Netflix movie didn’t arrive in time, so I watched The Grudge 2: Unrated instead. I didn’t really enjoy this one all that much. The deaths were neat, the school girls were hot, but the ending was mostly just set up for another sequel. Bah. *ooh’s @ the second Spider-Man 3 trailer being included on the DVD though*

Once I was done with that, it was already rather close to 5PM. So I got online to news-gather and we soon had a crappy supper just because it was “too late” for my dad to go to the grocery store. *rolls eyes* Once done online, I watched an Everybody Hates Chris episode on the bedroom DVR (great performance by Orlando Jones.. until the final scene, of course).. I then went to the living room and watched Jericho (I haven’t seen it since like episode 4 or something.. and it’s still as lame as I remember it). My dad wasn’t feeling great and headed off to bed. I fell asleep looking for PROO promos.. then woke up a little into Lost, so I had to rewind a bit (great episode.. I was worried a little about Bai Ling’s appearance, but her role was done well). After that, I transferred something to VHS..

See ya.
