Sat 04.30.05 — waiting for the day to be over…

April 30, 2005

10:59AM
I awoke to the cat waking me up once again, some time for the alarm. :p I watched music videos until the new episode of Power Rangers S.P.D. started — “Abandoned”. I liked this episode. It was okay. haha @ the New Zealand reference. We had breakfast.. and soon fell asleep. My dad took over the TV but could find nothing to watch. I woke up and found a 9/11 truth movement speech to watch on C-SPAN2 (the last third of it anyway).

My dad bitched how I’m invading the living room. I have a couple stacks of tapes that I actually tape to. But my dad doesn’t care. He wants them moved elsewhere. Fuck him. He made me move some of the magazines that have been piling up on the couch, but that was because I actually agreed with him there. I just didn’t know where to put them within my room for a while. But I am in no way moving those tapes. Asshole. Then, he hurried out the door to waste a few bucks on a lottery ticket, even though he keeps complaining endlessly about where the lottery money’s going. They said it would go to local stuff like roads and schools. But apparently not. So he complains. Yet still gives them a few more bucks every week. Idiot..

2:03PM
I took his time away to watch / tape last night’s new episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender. This was a pretty good episode. Neat to see Ang finally do some waterbending. πŸ™‚ ..My dad came home soon after I started it and took a nap. I woke him up to watch Thursday’s new episode of CSI Vegas on DVR. Intense episode. πŸ™‚ ..He eventually fell back to sleep though.. We had some lunch and watched some racing that he wanted to see. *sigh* That Danica Patrick is pretty hott though. πŸ˜‰ ..Then he went outside as I watched a rather uneventful episode of Ebert & Roeper (Hitchhiker’s Guide two thumbs down? how about two other fingers up to you guys?! :p). I tried phoneposting on LJ.. but I forgot my PIN. So I have to get that straightened out now.. *runs off.. to the other PC window*

3:26PM
Well, PhonePost worked.. but I just suck at talking.. since I rarely talk to anybody. Then I spent some time online.. Bbbbbboooooorrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddd. 😐

6:30PM
I trued to escape boredom at all costs. I watched a pretty funny movie my dad was watching called Fletch Lives, then watched the hour of MXC after that. I haven’t seen this show in quite a while, but it’s still very funny. :p My dad called it the stupidest thing he’d ever seen on TV. I caught him laughing a few times though. Haha. My dad bought some fast food for supper due to our lack of real supper food.. Then (well, just minutes ago), he left to join his friend in watching the basketball game.. even though I had made it so the DVR recordings wouldn’t overlap. Oh well. Big TV for me tonight. πŸ™‚

7:10PM
Whoops. Scratch that. My dad’s friend doesn’t seem to be home, and since I’m such a nice person (yeah right :p ), I let my dad have the big-screen for the night. I had only planned to watch one thing.. and maybe some more TMNT on DVD. But I could do the latter tomorrow. And I just watch that one thing in here. :p

9:49PM
So after some time online, I watched the season premiere episode of All That. I didn’t really enjoy it for the most part. That “restaurant run by aliens” had to be the most annoying. I liked that freaky goth chick character Claudia’s new skit though. But that may just be because she’s hot. :p After a brief moment online, I watched last Wednesday’s new episodes of That’s 70s Show and Life On A Stick on DVR. The former was pretty funny, as was latter.. just a little less. I didn’t even notice that the guest character Evan was played by Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue‘s Sean Cw Johnson until the episode was almost over. :p I guess he’s out doing the rounds again. I heard he showed up on last Monday’s episode of Las Vegas too..

Random comment of the day: I recently downloaded some Star Wars Christmas album. For some reason. It features C3PO and R2D2. But I’ve only listened to Track 1 so far.. :/

Well, today is pretty much over. All I have left is to collect the bottom links, and to watch MadTV.. so.. See ya. :p

CyberBlue reports a rumor that the Power Rangers S.P.D. cast will be at Disney World in Orlando, Florida during the weekend beginning next Friday (May 6th). He says it could be for some kind of event as part of their 50th Anniversary celebration. For additional info, check out his Rangerboard post..

Just when you thought the Power Rangers product blitz couldn’t go any further, Disney proves us wrong. Here’s a press release concerning a Disney line of portable DVD players for kids with many different designs. You guessed it: one of them features S.P.D.‘s very own Red Ranger. Heh. They’ve already been sighted at Wal-Mart, in the Toys section, for only $140..

My personal retailer of choice, Best Buy, is releasing an exclusive Tru Calling: The Complete Second Season DVD set on August 2nd. All six episodes will be included for a price of $29.99 (I bet it’ll be cheaper the first week). It’s already available for pre-order at BestBuy.com.. Other recently announced Best Buy exclusive TV DVDs include Dave Chappelle’s short-lived Buddies TV series (expected on May 17th to coincide with the DVD release of Chappelle’s Show Season 2 Uncensored), and Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Best of Spike (available on July 5th)..

TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted some Buena Vista DVD press releases. Among them is a press release for Life As We Know It: The Complete Series. I’ll definitely be picking this one up.. Also, a press release for Spider-Man: The Venom Saga. I’m still considering if I should pick this one up. It is coming out on a heavy release date. Venom is my favorite villain, and I’m dying for him to show up in the damn movies. *pouts* 😑

Kevin Smith will write and direct at least three episodes of George Lucas’ upcoming live-action Star Wars TV series, the IESB reported.

Neat. πŸ™‚

I managed to stay up until 2AM late last night. But my dad just had to stay up a little later too.. so I didn’t get to watch anything before I fell asleep. Damnit. I awoke around 7AM. I remember that my favorite morning radio show was back on. They were off the air for a while due to their station changing from the kind of music I like .. to country. 😦 Now they’re show seems watered down for the new audience. *sigh* ..Anyway, my dad made some pancakes for breakfast (ugh), then I got online for a while. Then I learned that Daylight Saving has been passed. Indiana will become unoriginal next year. ..Yay.. -_- FOX’s morning news showed a clip from the pre-credits scene of Sunday’s new episode of Family Guy. Peter lists all the other FOX shows that have been canceled.. as replacements for their show, and comments that if all of those are canceled.. they may have a chance. rofl. πŸ™‚ So can’t wait to see it.. I stayed online for quite awhile, because I could find nothing better to do. :/

After much waiting, Passions began. It was mostly another big helping of stalling. *sigh* Rebecca & Gwen conspiring to take another baby, and Ethan is stupid enough to go along with it. And the Fox / Chad / baby deal was also rather annoying. The Jessica storyline continues to be nice though. Especially that chick fight at the end. Hott. πŸ˜‰ ..After that, we visited the grocery store. And I actually picked up a couple things from the very very small balance I have left (until Tuesday). I was so close to finally testing out the LJ PhonePost.. but I couldn’t think of anything to say. :p We arrived home and I watched a couple more episodes from the TMNT 87 Season 2 DVD. I’m enjoying the classic series, but I still think the new series is better. Once that was done, I watched a little of that Disney Vacation Planning DVD that I got in the mail today. I only watched it for a few minutes though, to confirm that Time Force‘s Erin Cahill hosted it. She’s looking hot in this too. πŸ˜‰ Then, I got online to do the news-gathering deal. That was done quicker than usual. Dinner was one of those “whatever you can find” sort. Even though we had just gone to the grocery store, he didn’t really get anything that would be a real supper.. so.. The cat wants out so bad. Every night, he’s meowing to get out.. after the night that he saw the female cat out there. Only thing is is that said cat is MIA and possibly pregnant. Oh, and she hissed upon seeing our cat. So I don’t think they would play that well together. And my dad is all worried about what she might have being outside all the time. So.. no chance.. 😐

In primetime, we watched a rerun of CSI Vegas that we never got to see before. A pretty good episode, especially the teen suicide plot. After that, we watched a rather funny new episode of Hope & Faith, then watched the very funny new episode of Reba that had just finished DVRing. Then, I left my dad to watch his NUMB3RS and returned to my room for the night..

Today was okay. Pretty average. Another boring weekend ahead. Woo. Hoo. :/ ..See ya..

roswell s3 dvd art / romy & michelle prequel / csi miami spoilers / today

April 28, 2005

DVDAnswers.com has gotten a hold of Region 1 DVD cover art for Roswell: The Complete Third Season. Niiiice. June 7th can’t come soon enough. πŸ™‚

The long-delayed TV movie prequel Romy & Michelle: In The Beginning, co-starring Roswell & Grey’s Anatomy hottie Katherine Heigl, finally has yet another airdate. It is now set to premiere on ABC Family on the night of Monday, May 30th, at 8PM ET. Let’s hope it sticks this time.. :p Additionally, Katherine will guest co-host on the May 16th episode of The View..

CBS has revealed spoiler descriptions for CSI Miami‘s last four episodes of the season. Neat. πŸ™‚

I stayed up late again last night watching Conan.. but fell asleep again before I could complete my plans to watch a DVD. Damnit. 😑 ..I had a nice dream involving some girl-themed TV series on Nickelodeon accidently showing the star’s bare breasts.. then I forgot to DVR it. 😦 ..Then I woke up late in the 9AM hour and got online for a bit. I returned to the living room in time for Price Is Right. Whee. :p I soon listened to my newly-burned CD from yesterday up until Passions began. At least there was less stalling here than yesterday. C’mon, quit torturing Sheridan, you damn writers. 😐 I’m glad about those secrets coming out at the Bennett house though.. Once that was over, I watched the first two episodes of TMNT 87 Season 2 (as my dad escaped). I didn’t like the first episode that much, but that was only because I had a comic / cassette long ago with the exact same story that I read / listened to many many times. So I was all *yawn*. It did bring back some old memories though, and it’s nice to to have the story in a better format. :p The second one was pretty good too. πŸ™‚ Then I watched / taped last weekend’s second episode of Shinzo. Unlike the first, I wasn’t nearly bored to death by this one. :p After that, I tuned over to G4 and watched that for a while. Then, I finally returned to my room and news-gathered for awhile.. My dad arrived quite late with some supper, because he was too damn busy visiting that bitch that I despise once again. -_-

In primetime, there wasn’t anything good to watch on the networks because of the evil dictator’s bullshit press conference concerning his plan to loot Social Security for his war etc. Joey and Will & Grace were changed to repeats at the last second because of this. So I played around with the cat during Joey, the. watched some of an Animaniacs episode over on the Nicktoons Channel (I really wish I knew which episodes are aired when.. I’d like to see the Mighty Morphin spoof episode again). All while my dad watched his oh-so-important basketball game in my room. At 9PM, I casually watched an hour of Whose Line over on ABC Family while DVRing CSI Vegas (so I could save it.. due to my dad and his bullshit game). I waited until the game was over, to see if he’d want to watch it afterward. Nope. He’d rather go outside into the cold instead. Asshole. So I returned to my room for the night..

Today was slightly below average. My dad finding a fucking basketball game life-or-death important made it worse in primetime. With me ‘babysitting’ the cat in the living room. So the night sucked. ..Thanks, dad!

emma record deal / star wars tv info / tvtome ruined? / threshold cast / online abc recaps / today

April 27, 2005

Power Rangers Dino Thunder‘s Emma Lahana has now got a record deal with Big Fun Records and producer Paul Zizzo (who has previously discovered the likes of Avril Lavigne and Vanessa Carlton), according to her official site. Awesome. I’m so buying the CD.. πŸ™‚

Here’s some new details from TheFutonCritic concerning those upcoming Star Wars TV projects…

UNTITLED STAR WARS PROJECTS (New!) – “Star Wars” creator George Lucas told fans at the “Celebration III” fan convention in Indianapolis over the weekend (his first appearance at such an event in 18 years) that Lucasfilm is developing two new TV series set in the popular science fiction universe. The first is an animated 3-D half hour series that expands upon “Clone Wars,” Genndy Tartakovsky’s well-received animated series for Cartoon Network. The other is a live action spin-off that would focus on some supporting characters who’ve been introduced in the movies. Both series would be set in the years between “Episode III” (“Revenge of the Sith”) and “Episode IV” (“A New Hope”). Lucas has reportedly been speaking with “Aeon Flux” creator Peter Chung about heading up for the former project, which will likely take advantage of the new CGI animation facility Lucasfilm is building in Singapore. As for the live action offering, Lucas told the fans: “We’re probably not going to start that for about a year. Like on ‘The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles,’ we want to write all the stories for the entire first season all at once. I’m going to get it started and hire the showrunners and all of that, then I’ll probably step away.” In addition, despite the assumed ties to Cartoon Network and FOX – no networks are currently attached to either project.

All good websites rarely last… And now the end has come for TVTome.com. CNET has bought the website from the original owner and plans to completely ruin it like they did with MP3.com. They plan to make it more like the flawed IMDB.com. The lead editor of a show’s guide will be whoever submits the most info. Grrrrr. Voice your opinions about this at the TV.com forums (the domain where TVTome will eventually be going)…

Brannon Braga has revealed more about the CBS sci-fi pilot, Threshold, including the cast. Carla Gugino will star, alongside Charles S. Dutton, Brent Spiner, Peter Dinklage, Rob Benedict, and Brian Van Holt, in the show about an alien invasion. I really hope CBS announces it’s pick-up in May.. and that it doesn’t suck.. :p

ABC is offering online viewing of Sunday’s Desperate Housewives and Wednesday’s Lost recap specials on their website at ABC.com throughout May. Neat.

I stayed up a little late last night. Or I had planned to. I watched Conan in the living room as my dad headed off to bed. Yay @ Conan finally in hi-def. lol @ his intro. :p But I fell asleep before it was even over. Damnit. 😦 ..I woke up the next morning at around 8AM. I took some time online, then watched some Regis & Kelly. My dad left on an errand, so I finally watched Sunday’s Robot Chicken (lol @ the Michael Jackson bit), as well as the latest two episodes of Movie Life: House of Wax (haha’s @ Paris Hilton badly lipsyncing to her first single). My dad arrived home just as the latter was over. We had a late breakfast and watched Price Is Right.. After that, I got back online for a little while..

I returned in time for Passions, which was mostly more stalling. There were some good points though, just few and far between. :/ After that, I started watching Montel just because Sylvia Browne was on. But my dad decided to take this time to visit that bitch that I despise once again. She’s still sick with pneumonia (I once said here that I don’t wish her dead.. but at this point, I’m so close). I no longer felt like watching Sylvia, so I went into my room to update some data CDs. Soon, I came back out and saw that was back already. The bitch wasn’t home. Soon, I watched the new episodes of Gantz on DVD, for the first time during the day. I really enjoyed these episodes. I can’t wait for the next volume.. which doesn’t come out until June 14th. *sigh* ..My dad was too busy cleaning during the first episode, but he tried to nap while I watched the second. Afterward, he said how he was unable to go to sleep because every time he was about to, they would cuss in the episode.. and he’d be awake again. lol (remember, he’s used to all ‘cartoons’ being for kids :/ ).. When that was over, I returned to my room and finished up that data CD updating, and to burn my next CD..

..Then, I finally got down to the business of news-gathering..

In primetime, I watched the awesome new episode of Smallville. πŸ™‚ Next week looks rather interesting too.. Then there was nothing better to watch, so I finally watched the first hour of Revelations on DVR.. as my dad slept. Even though I’m devoid of any religion, I rather enjoyed it. Maybe because it reminded me a lot of X-Files. :p That was done just in time to watch a rather great new episode of CSI NY. πŸ™‚ ..And that was about it..

Ugh. The government bastards downtown are very close to bringing Daylight Saving Time to Indiana. I really don’t want it. I see no use for it, and reseting all clocks is a rather annoying chore if for no good reason. But it looks like we’ll be getting it here next year. *sigh* ..See ya..

tmnt airing news / george on oc / media buys / today

April 26, 2005

According to the Official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles website, Season 4 of the new animated series is currently set to premiere on 4KidsTV on September 10th, 2005. πŸ™‚ ..Meanwhile, Cartoon Network is moving the repeats from 2:30PM.. to 6:30AM.. starting May 2nd.. :/

Guess who’s appearing on The O.C. now? ..Star Wars mastermind George Lucas.. on May 12th. First the Episode III trailer, and now an episode just before the theatrical premiere. Ugh..

I stayed up late last night… but all of it was spent online. I went to sleep, and awoke a little too early in the morning. Even before the alarm which I had forgotten to reset for later. So I reset it and slept a couple more hours. But then I woke before the alarm again. :p I shut it off, prepared to media buy, then headed out..

First, I stopped by Best Buy with plans to buy four DVDs. But I bought all five above. No wonder the Lemony Snicket Collector’s Edition DVD cost so much ($28). It included the first book of the series. And since I was looking into buying the books anyway, I bought the higher-priced edition. Can’t wait to start watching the new & classic series TMNT DVDs. But I am worried about the classic one. Thirteen episodes on one disc?! Insane, I tell you. Also, the cover above features a dark orange color, but the actual cover is more of a near-blinding neon orange. Ack.. I wasn’t expecting to find the new volume of Gantz a whole week early, but I’m glad I did. After discovering the total price was lower than expected, I hurried back and picked up Wild Things 3 too (*drools @ Wild Force‘s Sandra McCoy on the cover*). πŸ™‚ I also picked up a couple free discs. I passed on Borders since I couldn’t remember what I needed there, and stopped off at Target for a few minor things. Then, we headed home.. A great day of media buying in all, even with the rain.. :p

We returned home and had a little lunch. Then I got online to inventory the DVDs. :p I got the Land’s End catalog that I had requested with Power Rangers in Space‘s Melody Perkins in the mail. All was pretty good in my world.. but then it began heading downward. Passions was rather boring and full of stalling, except for the end. Then, I barely watched / taped a rather boring episode of Shinzo from the DVR while my dad was away. I finally loaded up the Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events DVD, but my dad had to stall like crazy. That made the DVD player that much hotter. Which made the piece of shit begin screwing up barely 20 minutes into the movie. I eventually gave up and moved into my room to watch the rest on the DVD player that I’ve had much much longer and still works.. I very much liked this movie. *drools over Emily Browning, who plays Violet* *hopes for a sequel* ..Once it was over, even though it would make me behind schedule, I had supper with my dad in the kitchen for the first time in a while.. in a broken chair. I then hurried back to my room to do the weekdaily news-gathering. I was surprised by the free time I had left when I was done, so I checked my email for the first time in a little while..

With barely anything new on TV tonight, I had more free time in primetime. So I watched the special features on the Lemony Snicket DVD (mostly just the deleted scenes and outtakes). When I was finished, I went to the living room and waited until the new episode of Scrubs. Very funny episode. πŸ™‚ Then, we watched a new episode of The Office, which was also very funny (only nowhere near Scrubs‘ level of awesomeness). I let my dad have the TV to watch a show he likes and I eventually returned to my room for the night..

Today was good, I guess. That living room DVD player spoiled it from being better though. My dad even suggested I buy a replacement player.. for the one that he bought. Cheap bastard. Well, see ya..

next star wars dvds & tv / 2 hr csi finale / gantz dvd news / land of the lost film / today

April 25, 2005

At the Celebration III convention in Indianapolis this weekend, George Lucas let it slip that a new DVD box set of all 6 Star Wars films is in the works, possibly to include an all-new bonus disc containing deleted scenes from the original trilogy. Expect no further changes in the films themselves. In addition, don’t look for a high-definition release of the films in 2007. Lucas also confirmed that the digitally-screened version of Episode III will be slightly longer than the traditional film version.

Yay. We’ll have to buy the movies again.. >_< Oh, and “no episodes 7, 8, 9“? Just wait until he begins to run out of money again in a decade or two.. :p

And here’s a few more interesting details concerning those TV projects…

During the session, Lucas confirmed that there are two Star Wars television series in the works — a half-hour 3-D computer-animated series and a live-action series. The live-action series, which will feature minor characters from the films, will go into production in about a year. Lucas plans to write and film the first season all at once, he said.

CBS has revealed a spoiler description for the Quentin Tarantino-directed two-hour season finale of CSI, airing May 19th. Sounds awesome. So can’t wait to see this one.. CBS has also released a collection of quotes from the cast concerning the great time they had working with Tarantino on the episode. πŸ™‚

In today’s “Ask John” article over at AnimeNation, John revealed something that I hadn’t heard until now concerning the US DVD release of Gantz:

The Gantz TV series has been the only 26 episode long TV series released in America on a two episode per disc basis, and with only 4 of 13 discs available, AD Vision has already hinted at plans to begin releasing future discs with more than 2 episodes in response to significant consumer negativity toward the 2 episode per disc format.

Verrry interesting. I’m personally fine with the release schedule now, as long as the 2-episode discs continue being released once a month. Though more episodes per disc would be nice too.. πŸ™‚

Will Ferrell (Bewitched) will star in a feature-film remake of the 1970s TV show Land of the Lost for Universal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Neat. I hope it doesn’t suck.. I liked the short-lived 1990s TV series remake better than the ancient version I never lived to see though (and I want it on DVD damnit).. :p

Once I was done online, I went into the living room and found my dad still asleep in there. Eventually, he woke up and went to sleep in his hos room. And soon, I fell asleep.. I had another dream. I was online downloading mp3s or something, when these teenagers or people my age kept breaking into the living room (my dad was away). I kept pushing them out, locking the door, and returning to the computer in my room. But they kept coming in. Over and over again. Once, a female commented on how I needed friends and should let them stay. I ignored them and just kept pushing them out. One time, they were looking at a picture on some kind of digital monitor in the living room with some kind of pornographic picture on it. I pushed them out again, then they went and knocked on the door next door.. while re-enacting the picture. They soon went inside and closed the door.. Another time that I returned to the computer, it was way darker than usual, as if it finally broke.. I even remember a part where I was conversing with some object sitting in the living room, about letting their leader in to harm him. But I soon changed my mind about that. I peeked out into the hallway and they were drawing on the walls for some reason. Drawing a mural.. with a lot of blue. They started making fun of me so I closed the door. Soon after that, I woke up to a bad headache..

It was just after 9AM when I went into my room and got online for a bit. Then I watched a little of the usual morning TV, played with the cat, cleaned up after myself a little, returned to the computer every once in a while. Blah. Eventually, the day’s episode of Passions began. But I was too into reading my mail for the first half of it (I had gotten the weekly video retailer mags in today). And the second half wasn’t too interesting either, even the ‘surprise ending’ that I had seen coming for the last few weeks.. After that was over, I finally found the time to watch the Martial Law 9-11: Rise Of The Police State DVD. My dad left to return the luggage and to visit that bitch that I despise, who had just returned from the hospital in Florida. He commented that it’s the “same old stuff” and departed. But it most definitely wasn’t. I very much enjoyed Martial Law 9-11. It detailed everything from the real perpetrators of 9/11 within the US government to the what this evil group has in store for the world. They tried to take over the world in the form of Naziism (Dubya’s grandpa help finance them), and now they’re trying again here in the USA (with a false terrorist attack on 9/11 and a pro-Nazi ‘president’ Arnold Swarzenegger in 2008). I liked the part where they revealed Micheal Moore as part of this cover-up with his whitewashing film, Fahrenheit 911. Very detailed. I had a hard time taking it all in at times. So much information, some of it even new to me. The entire DVD runs just short of 3 hours, and is in four chapters. My only complaint is how the DVD was constructed, The 3 hours were one DVD title and only split by nine DVD chapters, the last chapter being three special features. Some might be steered away by the high price ($25.95.. and shipping drives it over $30), but I can’t recommend this movie enough. It is packed full of information that the American people must know about before it is too late… I wish I could add this and a few other great films to my DVDAficionado DVD collection, but they don’t allow DVDs that aren’t sold mainstream. Damnit.. I returned to my room once it was finally over and got online to news-gather once again.. My dad eventually returned home and we had supper. Yada yada yada..

In primetime, I watched the new episodes of Yes Dear (haha @ all the lame product placements.. and the guy with no friends that I identified with 😦 ) and Listen Up (lol @ Penn dropping those cards twice.. without ever showing him picking them up..). After that, the shows were reruns.. so I played around with the cat a little. There was a female cat outside and it drove him crazy that he couldn’t go out there. He was even scratching at the doorway. I even went out there and petted the other cat, then later our cat sniffed my hand like crazy. lol. :p Eventually, we watched Medium. It was a pretty good episode. And thanks to my repeated fanning of the VCR, it taped with no problems. πŸ™‚ Soon after, I returned to my room..

Today was okay.. I guess. I can’t wait for the media tomorrow though. πŸ™‚ See ya..

Sun 04.24.05 — the dvd player made in hell..

April 24, 2005

5:53AM
As soon as I posted the Saturday entry, I began watching the new episode of MadTV. rofl @ the Sprint celebrity ringtones sketch. I would actually use the De Niro one. It went something like “Hey, pick up the phone. I said pick up the fuckin’ phone.” lol.. I eventually moved it to the living room TV once I discovered that my dad had gone to sleep early. So I fell asleep before the episode was even over. Damnit. 😑 And I just woke up.. k..

10:24AM
I watched some Kids in the Hall on Comedy Central until the morning paper arrived. As expected, there were no good deals for Tuesday (at least in the ads anyway). 😦 I began watching yesterday’s DVR recordings. All That: 10th Anniversary Reunion Special was great. So many good memories. It should’ve been longer though. After that, I watched Zatch Bell and Full Metal Alchemist. Both were pretty good, especially the latter. Even though I had to rewind Full Metal twice because I kept falling asleep. :/ My dad went back to bed. Sounds nice, but I don’t have the time to do so..

4:38PM
I tried watching a few X-Files episodes, but the living room DVD player decided not to even load it. So my dad and I eventually moved on to the Meet The Parents DVD. It was about 30 minutes in before the player started screwing up on that. But I skipped to the next chapter and it played fine right to the end. Great movie though. Next, we watched Meet The Fockers for the first time on DVD. I decided to watch the theatrical version, since I had heard bad things about the way the scenes were re-included into the extended version. Very funny movie, just a little less great than the first movie though. The DVD player didn’t screw up on this one until about 40 minutes in. My dad eventually fell asleep (for a part of it), and it started playing fine again after skipping a chapter or two. We watched the very funny deleted scenes and bloopers separately. And we also really enjoyed the Scrubs “Training Day” promo video, though I have no idea why it’s on this disc. It runs about 2 1/2 minutes, and features the cast going to a real hospital to research their roles. Sooo funny. πŸ™‚

11:09PM
During and after supper, we watched Comedy Central’s “Blue Collar” marathon. Larry the Cable Guy is so funny.. Eventually, we changed over to the new episode of Malcolm in the Middle. lmao @ Reese’s subplot with the dogs. Hilarious. Then, some Top 40 concert special aired, featuring popular songs that I was tired of hearing already. So I mostly just played around with the cat some more. πŸ™‚ At 9PM, I changed it over to the Desperate Housewives recap special, and watched / taped that. They should’ve gotten the female narrator from the show for the special damnit. 😦 Everything else about it was alright. I’m glad that I decided to watch. It pointed out some revelations that I didn’t even notice, and my dad had missed quite a few episodes.. so.. I kept fanning the VCR at every commercial break.. and managed to record the whole thing without it overheating. Yay. :p Following that was an all new episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Very good episode that managed to be very dramatic and funny within the same episode. πŸ™‚ Then, I returned to my room for the night..

Today was okay, I guess. Except for that curs-ed DVD player again. 😑 Another weekend survived.. See ya.

Sat 04.23.05 — “With this, the truest sword in the galaxy, I will right all wrongs.”

April 23, 2005

8:06AM
I didn’t really stay up that late last night. I started to get ready to tape Avatar, but then I remembered there was no new episode this week.. :p

I awoke to the alarm and pretty much waited for S.P.D.. I watched Mew Mew Power for the first time. Not that bad, really. *shrug* Then, it was finally time for the new Power Rangers S.P.D. — “Shadow Part 2”. I very much enjoyed this episode. πŸ™‚ We finally have some plot development. Cruger revealed this he has a missing wife out there somewhere (this lowers the possibility of a Kat/Dog hook-up though.. damn :p ). Piggy’s luck wasn’t reversed (well, except for the whole “SPD ruining his business” thing.. haha). Gruumm revealed there is one that even he fears. And Mora wasn’t in it. :p Next week doesn’t look as good as this week, but still pretty cool. πŸ™‚

11:09AM
During the free time, we watched last Saturday’s final episode of LAX. I’m gonna miss this show. 😦 That was kinda odd how that ending felt tacked on. Like they knew they were being canceled, so they filmed those scenes all of a sudden for a little closure. One scene, she’s all like “I’ll control outside, you control inside (of LAX)”.. Then, the next thing you know.. she’s resigning and going on a road trip somewhere. The end. O_o Weird..

After that, I watched / taped the season finale of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — “Exodus, Part II”. Great episode. I was surprised that there was no cliffhanger though. I like them on this show. 😦 Ah well. Can’t wait for season four in the fall. πŸ™‚ ..I sorta fell asleep near the end. So once my dad left somewhere, I made myself some breakfast (since my dad wasn’t going to) and watched most of the episode again. :p Soon, it was over and I watched the weekend’s pretty funny episode of Best Week Ever after that.. But now the next episode isn’t until May 13th. Bastards..

4:47PM
Next, it was time for DVDs. First, we tried watching Ocean’s Eleven again, from where it screwed up yesterday. It played fine for maybe.. 5-10 minutes. Then it started screwing up again. We gave up and moved on to Ocean’s Twelve. It’s started screwing up just a little near the end. And I had a hard time staying awake. So did my dad though. The whole thing about a character resembling the actress who plays her in this movie was somewhat funny, and the celebrity cameo was neat too. But in the end, I didn’t really like the movie all that much. The first one was pretty cool, but this one just felt dry. Since I bought it online at BestBuy.com, I could return it opened to the store. Hmmmmm..

Anyway, after that, I needed to lighten up. So we watched Garfield: The Movie on DVD next. It’s a fun little family movie. I enjoyed it. And I meant ‘little’ as in running time, which is only 80 minutes. :p This movie was actually successful, and a sequel is in the works. I’d like to see that one too. πŸ™‚ I soon returned it to the TV, and my dad had to watch a little of the NFL draft (ugh). Then he started supper. Now I’m here…

11:03PM
After a little time online (and to burn some more mp3s to CD), I had supper and watched the end of some ancient Chevy Chase movie on TV.. I played around with the cat a little, and before I knew it, it was time for my dad to watch his sports. Basketball and NASCAR in one day. Ack. I returned to my room and did some shelf reorganizing. Then, I watched / deleted some stuff on the bedroom DVR from the previous week: Simple Life: Interns (*firefighter training* “Let’s roast marshmallows.” So scripted.. but I hate most reality shows, so yay πŸ™‚ ..It’s so going to suck without Nicole.. I thought she was hotter.. ), Stacked (I was surprised when I liked this one more than the episode last week.. though it could have been Pamela’s pokies.. must’ve been cold on the set.. :p ), Life On A Stick (*shrug* getting back at an evil teacher is always cool), and Veronica Mars (another very awesome episode.. must.. have.. dee.. veedee..). After some more playing with the cat.. I returned to my room.. :/

Today was pretty good in all. Except for the DVD player. Again. *shakes fist*

mars spoilers / mtv score / today

April 22, 2005

UPN has revealed a spoiler description for the climactic May 10th season finale of Veronica Mars. πŸ™‚

SCORE (MTV, New!) – Joe Simpson, father of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, has booked a 20-episode order from the cable channel for a new reality series in which two aspiring musicians attempt to win a potential date over by writing and performing an original song. Singer Ryan Cabrera has been tapped to host the series, as well as work with contestants on writing, arranging and performing the songs. It’s also understood both songs will be made available for download after each episode airs on MTV’s web site. Casting on the series is set to start this summer for a fall premiere on the cable channel.

Heh. Neat idea.. Sounds a lot like their other “hook-up” TV series.. only this one actually involves music. Wow.. :p

I stayed up again late last night. And I did a horrible job of it. :p First, I taped the rest of Tru Calling to the tape, then watched the final confusing episodes of Evangelion (25 & 26). I had a hard time staying awake during the latter. 😦 Ah well. I had seen them before. And actually somewhat understood them. I think. Then I slept through most of the “Mythology of Evangelion, Part II” featurette. :/ ..I have I feeling I might trying another viewing next week.. Maybe.. I finally went to sleep at about 3AM, after the power flickered. Damn storms..

I awoke with no help the next morning at around 7:30AM.. Got online for awhile, watched the usual morning TV. Fisher‘s performance on Live with Regis & Kelly was pretty good (Ron was even part of the band). I DVRed it. πŸ™‚ ..Soon after that, my dad went out again, and I took over to TV to watch Wednesday’s episode of South Park. lol. Very funny episode. Looks like next week’s another repeat though.. Then, I tried watching an episode of Movie Life: House of Wax, but I gave up on it once I slept through most of it and was awoken by my dad returning home. I fell asleep for another hour. Then waited. Eventually, Passions began. This one was a pretty good episode. I wish Sheridan would steal her baby and run.. damnit. And I know who adopted Whitney’s baby. So obvious. Ethan was a real ass in this episode. ‘I am furious with you, Theresa, for withholding the law and re-arrested my wife for illegal things that she actually did!’ *rolls eyes* ..After that, we tried watching the Ocean’s Eleven DVD. But the DVD player just started to screw up too much after about 50 minutes. Grr. We watched the DVD a few years back. It was fine then, so it can’t be that. 😦 We eventually just gave up. I played with the cat for a while, and my dad watched the crap he sometimes watches in the afternoon. Then, the severe storm rolled in. I was surprised by how unfazed the cat was by the thunder. :p Eventually, my dad made a brief supper and I got online to news-gather..

I finished and returned to living room in time for Round 2 of the storm. Soon, I took over the TV and watched Radio Free Roscoe. Pretty good episode. πŸ™‚ Then, I watched the Joan of Arcadia season finale. It was great.. except the whole leading-up-to-next-season thing. It was too prologue-y for a season finale. :/ But I’m definitely looking forward to next season now. Love the new nemesis. Hope CBS picks it up.. After that, with an hour to waste, we watched last night’s CSI Vegas (er.. LA?) on DVR. It was a pretty good episode (*drools @ Ellie*), but not enough of the Vegas team showed up in this one. 😦 I then left my dad to his NUMB3RS and returned to my room.

Today was rather average. Not good. But not too bad (*shakes fist @ DVD player from hell*).. Yay. Tomorrow’s Saturday. Hope the DVD player doesn’t continue to screw up. See ya.
