dd sequels / anchorman dvds / lj reimbursement / today

June 30, 2004

Dark Horizons has an update on the two Daredevil sequels: Elektra and Daredevil 2. Sort of disappointed that Ben Affleck won’t be returning, but I’m also interested in who is chosen to take over the title role…

Dark Horizons also has some details on future Anchorman DVD releases. And to be honest, they’re quite laughable. A 4-hour version of the movie? A separate completely new movie? Ha.

Due to LiveJournal‘s recent downtimes, paid members can be reimbursed in the form of two extra weeks free. Pretty cool. Also, if you plan to buy 6 or 12 months of service this week, you can get two months free. To check it out, click here. I recently bought 6 months too. Dang. :p

The day started with me waking to an empty house. *sigh* My insecurities over this probably stem from when my dad left me at home when I was too young. I cried so loud the neighbor in the apartment next door invited me over until he came back. I think we had to move out of those apartments soon after. It was probably only a few years after my mom passed away. So I guess every time he abandons me here, it’s like opening those old wounds all over again. He’s off work today, so of course he abandons me for his real family. The one he actually cares for… So I watched Monday night’s Division season finale in the morning. Great episode. Amy Jo’s role was good too. Later, I watched Reno 911! (lmao) and my Mighty Morphin Season 1 Vol 14 VCD (I never knew how awesome Doomsday really was until now). At the point, my dad arrived home. He claimed he had gone to the hospital as.. someone else from his real family got a test done. And since the phone didn’t ring this morning, he could’ve told me where he would be going yesterday so I didn’t waste all this time being more and more angry. But I should know by now he doesn’t care whatsoever. I decided to watched to watch today’s Passions from the DVR. It is one of the very few things we ever do together anymore. But he proves once again that he doesn’t care by falling asleep. I too should have quit caring a long time ago… The new primetime Fox shows were great, especially Quintuplets. πŸ™‚

I’m thinking about seeing a movie in a theater again within the next week or so. But I can’t decide on which one to go see: Fahrenheit 9/11 or Spider-Man 2? I’ll definitely be buying both of their DVDs months from now,… but I don’t know which one I should go see now. *shrug* See ya…

white spd ranger / oops / roswell s2 dvd / lone gunmen dvd / xtina dvd update / today

June 29, 2004

Poweranimals provides Rangerboard with an image revealing Dekaranger / Power Rangers S.P.D.‘s seventh ranger, who will come in White. The zord looks nice but… he rides a unicycle? O_o

Okay, so the Ryan Johnson we know is not the same Ryan Johnson co-producing Cerina Vincent’s new movie, Treasure of Seven Mummies. He was being sarcastic. Oops. :p But still, the new Cerina movie sounds cool…

According to the British BBFC film and video ratings site, each disc of Roswell: The Complete Second Season will contain different intros, unlike Season 1, which used the same intro on all of them. The site previously confirmed the bonus features for the DVD release…

A member of the forums I go to claims he called Fox Home Entertainment Customer Service concerning a product replacement. Then, he inquired about the short-lived Lone Gunmen series on DVD. The representative told him the series “should be” released on DVD this September. I’m guessing the timeframe is wrong… but maybe there’s hope? πŸ™‚

After weeks and weeks of waiting for details on the constant release delays of the Christina Aguilera: Stripped… Live in the UK DVD, we receive the smallest bit from the bottom of an official Christina mailing list e-mail: “DVD news: Look for Stripped: Live In The UK coming this Fall 2004…” Ugh. But at least it’s coming…

I ended up waking quite early… so I ended up putting together and burning the next CD (I even added a few singles that just came out.. or haven’t yet)…

Prometheus Hits, Volume 7
Black Eyed Peas – Let’s Get It Started (placed here for obvious reasons)
Lenny Kravitz – Where Are We Runnin’?
The Von Bondies – C’mon C’mon
Christina Aguilera – Hello
Avril Lavigne – My Happy Ending
Jason Mraz – Curbside Prophet
Ana Johnsson – We Are (a single off Spidey 2 sndtrk; sounds like a mix of Evanescence & Avril)
Finger Eleven – One Thing
Trapt – Echo
311 – Amber
Uncle Kracker – Rescue
Jessica Simpson – Angels
Limp Bizkit – Behind Blue Eyes
3 Doors Down – Away From The Sun
Maroon 5 – She Will Be Loved
John Mellencamp featuring India.Arie – Peaceful World
Alanis Morissette – Out Is Through
Creed – Higher
Vanessa Carlton – A Thousand Miles
Enya – Only Time

And since it was Tuesday, it was time for media buying. Only I’m pretty much broke until Friday.. and there was only one that I really wanted.. and it’s been eliminated. So nevermind. :p After Passions (Paloma in a bikini *drool*), I watched the first two episodes of Reno 911! on DVD. I had seen both before, but it was still sooo funny. πŸ™‚ After my dad went off to work, I watched my Mighty Morphin Season 1 Vol 13 VCD. The quality may be less than great, but it’s better than nothing at all. I also watched Wild Things 2 and finally got it off the DVR. It’s not near as good as the first movie (of course), but on its own it was okay.. i guess. lol @ the thought of letting rats loose in a private jet in hopes that they would eat through the wires. That part was just cheesy (pun not intended :p)… Primetime was only the usual reruns. *shrug* …today’s boring without media buying… 😦

mdn site / xtina’s hello / hp6 title / today

June 28, 2004

With the show only weeks away from premiering, SpikeTV now has added a MDN section to their site, featuring a 5-minute trailer for the series. Power Rangers Time Force‘s Erin Cahill co-hosts the series, which debuts late night Saturday, July 10th… πŸ™‚

Christina Aguilera has released a new song, titled “Hello”, in conjunction with a promotion with Mercedes’ new A-Class model. I’m really loving this song! I might send the 192kbps mp3 to some people though AIM or IRC… *ahem* reports that author J.K. Rowling has officially announced the title of the sixth Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Interesting…

The morning consisted of.. sleeping. I had stayed up pretty late again. I awoke to a muscle pain in my leg that refuses to go away. *sigh* After Passions, I fit in a viewing of last night’s all-new The Division episode. Amy Jo Johnson wasn’t featured so much as the last few weeks, but her song “Cat In The Snow” (from her “The Trans-American Treatment” CD) was part of the episode’s soundtrack. πŸ™‚ And the 2-hour season finale airs tonight… Once my dad left for work (and a little later), I watched the lest two episodes of Cutey Honey (it was okay.. but I’m glad I’m finished) and the Unrated DVD of Wild Things (I didn’t see that much added in.. and I wasn’t expecting there to be much.. maybe I can finally watch the direct-to-video sequel on the DVR next). Then in primetime, I watched more on the DVR: the “Best Week Ever” episode that I wasn’t able to watch over the weekend, as well as last night’s Coupling (it’s getting better, but the Jeff plothole keeps bugging me.. he went off to an island or something by mistake.. and is never mentioned or heard from again???). As soon as my dad arrived home from work, he was off again to his real family’s house for the night. Leaving me here with my loneliness and depression, as usual…

See ya.

Sunday 06.27.04: just news and a reunion…

June 27, 2004

This morning was average. *shrug* Except when I tried to burn my first mini music CD.. and there wasn’t enough space on it. 😦 Now my CD-R drive is frozen shut. So now I gotta restart to open it and get the blank mini CD out. Whee…

Wow. Bored out of my mind and only.. that time up there. 😦 I wish my dad could get home so we could watch that DVD. I doubt we’ll get to it today though. He’ll probably be MIA all day again, even though he acted as if he was coming back. Dumbass.

Anyway… has some information on two series that somewhat interest me. Tripping The Rift is in the works (like it deserves it). And the classic Fox Kids series Goosebumps is also making its DVD debut. I’m more likely to buy the second TV series… eventually. Only about 45 minutes per disc though? Cheapskates. I’m really liking the use of the original book art for the DVDs though.

For those of you who haven’t experienced the epic sci-fi drama TV series Roswell and/or don’t want to get the Season 1 DVD boxed set yet, SciFi Channel will begin airing the series again in order weekdays at 4PM ET starting Monday…

My dad’s home.. but is too into his NASCAR race to care about anything else. *sigh*

This raises my spirits though… Yahoo! reports that Fahrenheit 9/11 is the number one movie this weekend at the box office, with over $21 Million. Yay! πŸ™‚

I suppose there’s an upside to being pessimistic all the damn time… when something better than horrible happens, you’re surprised. I thought today was going to be very boring.. but we did fit in a viewing of the Badder Santa DVD. I didn’t expect much from it, and came out liking it in the end. In a way, it was like a modern twist on “A Christmas Carol”. And I wasn’t expecting the surprise near the end. It’ll probably end up becoming a Christmas tradition for me. πŸ™‚

Tonight was quite boring. Until the AIM chat room opened. It was cool ‘seeing’ all the scifi chat people again.. I sorta miss them. Idling in a Power Rangers fserv room just isn’t the same.. I wonder when SciFi chat will be back from it’s years-overdue ‘upgrade’… [the classic scifi quotes]

Well.. see ya…

Saturday 06.26.04: nothing important happened today.. no really..

June 26, 2004

I ended up putting in DBZ Budokai 2 at around 12:30AM and it was difficult to let go. I’m so hooked on this game. I’m really liking the original twists in the Dragon World mode storyline, like Majin Cell and Majin Frieza. πŸ™‚ I turned it off just as dad arrived home about 30mins ago. He filmed the wedding successfully and had to stay for a few hours afterward cleaning up. Again. :/ Now I’m getting ready for bed…

I awoke to my alarm at 6:45AM… then turned it off and slept some more. Haha. So I woke up about 9AM and watched the Reno 911 season 2 mini-marathon because there was nothing else on.. and I wanted to see last Wednesday’s episode that I forgot to DVR. Soooo funny. Then I watched a Teen Titans episode over on Cartoon Network. Now I’m waiting to tape the ABC Kids premiere of “Lost & Found In Translation”. I have a bad feeling that today will be VERY boring… 😦

Today’s been better than I thought it would be. So far. After “Lost & Found In Translation”, I watched his cheesy alien invasion movie on SciFi Channel. Then I finally watched my Scary Movie 3 DVD. The movie is so funny. For the second time. :p The alternate ending on the DVD was pretty cool too, borrowing heavily from Hulk and The Matrix Reloaded. But I wonder why they didn’t use those far superior alien suits from the alternate ending in the actual movie…? Strange…

After supper, I sorta fell asleep on the couch again. I wish I hadn’t stayed up so late last night. Today ended up being only slightly better than what I had expected. My free 1 year subscription to TV Guide began this week. Yay.

Now tomorrow is more likely to be boring. 😐 See ya..

prdt titles? / new cerina film / star wars dvd art / new dbz film details / 4400 info / today

June 25, 2004

Two rumored Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode titles are now out. They’re most likely the first episodes of August — 1425: “The Return Of Lothor, Part 1” & 1426: “The Return Of Lothor, Part 2”. And I probably don’t need to tell you what could be happening in these episodes.. :p Keep in mind these are rumored. They could still change…

The Power Rangers fandom’s own Ryan Johnson is co-producing a movie titled Treasure Of Seven Mummies, starring none other than Cerina Vincent, the Yellow Lost Galaxy Power Ranger. Niiice. πŸ™‚

Time to salivate once more.. Click here to check out even more close up art (for each case AND disc) for the upcoming DVD release of The Star Wars Trilogy. *drools* So can’t wait…

Woohoo! And I’m probably the only one celebrating over this newsLive Action Dragonball film not dead after all!. If they do it well (and with FOX’s budget behind it, I’m optimistic), I think it would be a great movie. Also, here’s a direct quote I’ve found from the June / July 2004 issue of Teen People (page 72): “It’s rumored that Superman-in-training TOM WELLING is looking to play another hero. We hear he’s hoping to score the lead role of Goku, a martial arts warrior, in the movie version of the anime fave Dragon Ball Z…”. Hmm. I personally think he wouldn’t be quite right for the role. :/ I’m hoping we hear more about this film’s progress in the future. πŸ™‚

The 4,400‘s Rene Echevarria spoke to Sci Fi Wire and gave them some new details on the backdoor pilot miniseries about 4,400 alien abductees who return to Earth without being aged. So can’t wait to see this. πŸ™‚

Today hasn’t been so bad.. compared to how the previous day ended early this morning. The computer had another freezing fit. Ugh. This morning consisted of finally getting a few files backed up on CDs, finishing up my next music CD, and just.. sitting. :p I guess the CDs I bought are bad. I used an older one to burn it and it had defects like crazy. Then I used one of the newer ones, and now it seems to be fine. πŸ™‚

Prometheus Hits, Volume 6
Ashlee Simpson – Pieces Of Me

…and I already have enough for a Volume 7 πŸ™‚ …if only I could find them…

Soon after Passions, my dad had to go and film that wedding. He’s being payed hundred-some dollars to do it. But I stayed home and watched more.. stuff. First, I watched the DVRed Good Day Live interview with Michael Moore that I missed. Then, I watched Cutey Honey episodes 5 & 6, followed by my Mighty Morphin Season 1 Vol 12 VCD. By watching them, I’m gaining a new appreciation for the first season.. even though the overuse of sentai footage gives me a headache (really, it does). After that, I transferred something from DVR to VHS. And set down for an all new Degrassi TNG episode… only there wasn’t one. After only a few weeks of new episodes, they just throw another rerun at us. Ugh. At least, according to the commercials, there’s a new episode next week… The rest of the night was wasted on the computer. Sad, really..

Haha. Check this out: Sign up for the longest alphabetical e-mail address at lol. :p See ya…

pr alums on them / mighty raw interview / today

June 24, 2004

Last night’s hidden-camera-magic special on NBC, T.H.E.M., had appearances by not one, but two Power Rangers alums: Time Force‘s Erin Cahill (Jen, Pink Ranger) in the first episode and PR voice actor Kim Strauss (Ninjor, Scorpius, Jinxer) in the second. πŸ™‚

Rangerboard member bushwacka666 has posted an awesome interview with the man behind the classic songs of Power Rangers, Ron Wasserman (aka Aaron Waters and The Mighty RAW). Check it out. πŸ™‚

In the morning, I took a trip to Target and picked up a few items. We also got a pretty impressive deal for out old TV: a computer that is newer than my own, with Windows 2000, scanner, and wireless keyboard. Hmm. Then after watching Passions, it was dad’s time to go off to church to help my aunt.. clean it. So I took that time to watch a few things on the DVR: last night’s T.H.E.M. special (a fresh twist on the hidden camera show.. hope it becomes a series) & Sunday’s Gargoyles episodes (as I said before, the island-to-island thing is getting very boring). After that, I watched episode 4 of Cutey Honey, as well as my Mighty Morphin Season 1 Volume 11 VCD. πŸ™‚ In primetime, there was barely anything new (of course). We watched T.H.E.M.. Again. Just because my dad hadn’t seen it. And I forgot all about recording last night’s new Reno 911!, so I gotta wait until it re-airs Saturday morning…. 😦

Today was boring. At least tomorrow’s Friday. See ya…

love comes to dvd / now 16 details / psp features / smallville syndicated / today

June 23, 2004

Fox has finally announced the DVD release of the hit Hallmark Channel TV movie Love Comes Softly, starring Roswell‘s Katherine Heigl. It’s set for release on September 14th with both widescreen and full screen transfers. Click here to check out the cover art… I’ve been waiting for this one. And it just happens to be released around the same time the sequel (Love’s Enduring Promise) is set to premiere on the Hallmark Channel.. πŸ˜‰ now has new details on the CD release of Now That’s What I Call Music! Volume 16, including the freakiest NOW CD cover art I’ve seen in a while and a track list that’s not so bad either (I like 12 out of 20.. mostly the later tracks). Can’t wait to pick this up on July 27th. πŸ™‚ has gotten a hold of some new diagrammed pictures of the upcoming PlayStation Portable, that point out some features of the device (from all sides!). Pretty cool. Wish I could afford it when it’s released early next year…

For those who can’t afford the DVD boxed sets, Smallville repeats will begin airing on ABC Family on October 4th at 7PM ET. The series will run weekdays in the timeslot…

This morning consisted mostly of sleep after I had stayed up past 3AM again. :p After Passions (and my dad leaving for work), I watched Cutey Honey episode 3. Finally, the storyline is coming together.. Then I finally watched The Matrix Revolutions for the first time. WOW. I definitely understood it more this time around, as well (since I watched the previous films again). And yay, they left it open for sequels. πŸ™‚ Even though it sounds like the reason why they did it was to continue the story with The Matrix Online PC game.. that I will never be able to experience due to my crappy computer. *pouts* Primetime was fine enough. FOX Wednesday is cool.. when everything else is reruns. :p j/k.. Though I did laugh / get somewhat offended by the definite Power Rangers spoof on Method & Red, called “Ultra Squad”. Blah.

“Online ticket service on Wednesday reported that Fahrenheit 9/11 was making up 48 percent of advance ticket sales for the weekend ahead, compared to 11 percent for Dodgeball and 9 percent for next week’s Spider-Man 2.” Woohoo! I’m really thinking about seeing this movie in theaters… the weekend after this when I’ll actually have money. 😐 See ya..

nadesico dvd / another 28 / spiderman 2 sndtrk / crazy dream / media buys 6.22.04 / today

June 22, 2004

AD Vision has announced that the Nadesico TV series will be re-released as part of the “Anime Essentials” line in 3 two-disc sets each retailing at $19.98. The English language audio track will be upgraded to Dolby 5.1 surround, and the digital overlay editing present in every previous AD Vision release of the series will be removed so American viewers can finally see the series the way it was originally intended to be seen. The first Nadesico Anime Essential DVD set will be released in September.

Yay. I was eyeing a purchase of this series anyway… now I just gotta wait a few extra months. πŸ™‚

Fox Searchlight is putting together a sequel to the SF zombie movie 28 Days Later, with the tentative title 28 Weeks Later, Variety reported.

Cool. The first one was pretty freaky. Hope this one doesn’t suck…

In a groundbreaking move, Sony is issuing 11 different versions of the CD Music From and Inspired by Spider-Man 2 worldwide, with different music depending on the regions in which the CD is released, Variety reported.

That’ll surely give collectors a headache… :p

I had a dream again last night. In this one, it seems as if I was a very troubled person. I recall there being a previous incident in this dream, but I don’t remember it. Somehow, I enter a food court (in a school?) and set it on fire. Completely. Then I leave quietly and as if nothing has changed. I find a school bathroom and a message I had sent myself in a box. I don’t recall what it said either. But it said how some “characters” (the message mentions they are animals) in my head make me kill. And that I don’t want to at all. Also included on the printed message was the text of a circulating e-mail that I had seen earlier in the dream and was being sent around the school by students. It told how I was a mental case. I hide in this ‘closed’ bathroom for a very long time. As students came in and out. I worry and regret what I have done because I was told the consequences would be worse if I ever did anything like this again.. I was planning to wait until the school day was over, and plan my getaway. But some teachers found me first and took me away to an office. I gave one of the teachers the message to prove I was crazy. She didn’t read to the important part. Then she tried to get me to guess when I had recorded a certain message on my mini-cassette recorder. I had no idea. Then my alarm clock in my bedroom suddenly woke me up…

So Tuesday started with media buying (what else?)…

Reno 911! The Complete First Season 2-DVD setBad Santa (Unrated Widescreen Edition) DVD

Just the usual visit to Best Buy this week. I was questioning whether or not to get either one of these on my way in.. and I ended up with both. Damnit. :p Then, when I had found these two and a couple copies of the FREE FOX DVD I got last week, they wouldn’t let me have them. And they didn’t have any of the other free discs out either. I guess they’re starting to become stingy bastards like the other stores… *rolls eyes* So I then went to the grocery store.. and found none of the things I came to get……

After Passions and my dad left for work, I watched Cutey Honey episode 2. In lots of ways, it reminds me of Power Rangers. There seems to be one ‘monster’ every episode, and they transform near the end. Only I don’t believe PR could get away with Honey‘s substantial amounts of female nudity. *cough* Anyway… after that, I watched The Matrix Reloaded. It’s awesome, just somewhat less than the first. Can’t wait to watch Revolutions for the first time tomorrow. :p Primetime was pretty boring though… more reruns. 😦 I, Robot looks coooool though. Too bad I’ll probably have to end up waiting for the DVD…

At least today was somewhat better than yesterday.. See ya.
