mmpr reversioning producer @ twitter / today

In case you haven’t been paying attention to my Twitter or Rangerboard, Power Rangers fans have discovered Mighty Morphin Power Rangers‘ Reversioning Producer Dan Evans III on Twitter. And after how badly the fans took the premiere of this ugly reversioning this past weekend, of course they were going to throw a barrage of anger at him. And he was apparently expecting it for the last few months, and to be called “the Hitler of Power Rangers”. He’s already apologized to the Power Rangers fans for what he’s done to “Green With Evil”. That saga doesn’t begin airing on ABC until April.

But through his tweets, he’s revealed some interesting information on this project. It seems Disney has only commissioned the usual 32 episodes, the amount the last three seasons got. That would cut the first season’s 60 episodes just about in half. They also appear to be working on the episodes in no particular order, based on how he references which episodes he is working on. He also claims it was Disney’s idea to add the comic style to the series, and that at least the ridiculous borders will eventually go away as the episodes continue. Dan says he fought with Disney to keep the “Foul Play In The Sky” episode, since it involves some trouble on a plane. :/

A more recent and laugh-worthy discovery is that from John Green of He confronted Dan Evans III on Twitter with the fact that they’ve used Time Force‘s Q-Rex in a new MMPR “remastered” Red Ranger background shot rather than the Red Ranger’s T-Rex zord. Dan denies it’s the Q-Rex, but.. look and judge for yourself. Sure looks like it to me. Haha. :p

I awoke in the morning, finished up the previous entry, and soon saw some of the usual morning TV.. and had some breakfast. But soon, we got ready and headed out to media buy. Yay.

First, I visited best Buy and picked up Chuck: Season 2 (with Limited Edition 3D episode & glasses + Best Buy exclusive mini comic book), The Final Destination (FD4) and Final Destination (FD1) — all on Blu-ray. Awesome. 🙂 Also I price-matched Final Destination from $14.99 to $12.99.. and she accidentally price-matched the Chuck Blu-ray from their $45.99 down to Target’s DVD price of $36.99 (instead of just $44.99). Oops. Hahaha. >:) ..I passed on 10 Things I Hate About You on Blu for now because Best Buy was offering it for $24.99. And a lot of the previously-announced extras have been stripped from it (no more digital copy, some deleted scenes & screen test have been integrated into a featurette :/). I also passed on Iron Man: Armored Adventures Vol 2 because Best Buy isn’t offering an exclusive Blu-ray version like they did with Vol 1. Damnit. 😦

Next, we went to Speedway and.. got some hot chocolate. Though now that I think about it, I should have gotten an icee. Even though the temperatures have been staying in the teens all day lately. :p ..After that, I went to Pizza Hut and once again got in on their $10 pizza deal. Yum. The new location (that was burned down and rebuilt or something) looked really nice on the inside. They serve beer, have a bunch of sports on TVs, and even have a bar. Something else.

We returned home and watched Ellen, then I soon got online to inventory the new discs while my dad headed out on a few more errands. I then managed to fit in the first four episodes of Chuck: Season 2 (Warner TV Blu-ray = no main menus.. the episodes start as soon as you load the disc and play one after the other, even if you don’t want them to.. damn, that’s annoying.. Fringe was the same way.. the pop-up menu provides access to special features like deleted scenes for the episodes on the disc.. and there’s like seven episodes on Disc 1 alone, crazy.. very good episodes though 🙂 ..need to get the season done by Sunday night’s season premiere damnit).

I was done by 6PM, then got online to news-gather. We also had some supper.. In primetime, we watched Scrubs (lol), Better Off Ted (lol, good show).. Scrubs (lol.. yup, another one), Better Off Ted (lol.. and another one.. ABC is doubling up to finish these shows in time for the return of Lost on February 2nd.. day after my birthday! :p) and Men Of A Certain Age (haha, pretty good show methinks). And then I eventually returned to my room for the night.

Well.. see ya..
